Military and news posted. News update was a bit shorter than usual due to the level of attention required by the wars (also, I was nearing the character limit hence the stories sans images).

Remember, numerous stuff happened outside the news stuff for individual players, as will be adressed in the prompts for the next turn. With 15 (now 14) of you it can become a bit of a balancing act.

Portugal is no longer playable unless full independence is restored to Lisbon in one shape or another. Brazil will be playable at the start of the next turn.

HenryWallace is away this week Sad , but does intend to continue playing. If anyone is interested in substituting, I'm open to suggestions, though obviously a massive 180 in policy would not be allowed. I'm debating either operating Russia myself as one of the NPCs or, following existing precedent, having Dereich take over military commands for a turn as I did in one of Lumine's game when my ally was unavailable.

Whatever the case I look forward to getting on with the next turn. Let's hope you all leave some part of the world unravaged by war. I though Italy would be it, then...

I think it should be Dereich having military commands from Russia, it would make sense.

Just, wow.

Sardinia-Piedmont is rising in an insanely quick fashion
Republic of Louisiana formed
The Bavarian succession war is overall a draw to this point

The event that intrigues me the most is the Congress of Annapolis, I wonder what will happen there Wink
I do have a question on the 15 colonies though. Which ones  are the two extra colonies? Florida and Kentucky/Tennessee?

The Thirteen Colonies (Vermony is still unorganized) plus Ohio and Kentucky-Tennessee (as Transylvania).

Florida is technically a colony, but is more akin to how Quebec was OTL. There is not really much of an English presence there yet, despite being owned by George III.

Hmm... A slight setback, though I await a few more PMs before I begin movement. I’m very much looking forwards to this turn, Spamage!

Utterly crazy turn. I think Italy has shocked me the most. Inb4 Italy is founded as a theocratic republic.

I'll just say I'm looking at the new world with a LOT of interest, and am definitely thinking about rejoining sometime in the future over there.

Hate to make excuses, but my internet has been meh today. There's a lot of PM requests from today and yesterday I intend to respond to, but not until after the next turn has been opened. I have most of the prompts written, just some last minute research that needs to be done.

Unfortunately it will have to be delayed an additional 24 hours, due to RL stuff. This is actually a good thing because that ensures the next one will end on Friday night and will give us several quick turnovers again (as when they end on weekends I have more time available to write events, prompts, etc. ). I know you all are eager to get back at backstabbing eachother, it will just be a little while more Wink

Certainly, though as someone noted, the available ones are not without a challenge.

Naples, Brazil or Louisiana are probably the main options. All are technically at war, all have different levels of foreign ties. Let me know and I'll be able to edit you into the update.

Japan, Brazil, the Marathas, Louisana, and Denmark would all be interesting.

As someone who tried (and failed) to run one of these-style games, this is more than reasonable.

Why is no one waiting for Spamage to post the turn to comment? I know we don’t have to, and a few people always launch early, but this seems like a bit more than usual.

I do apologise but I'm losing interest in this game and I am making a TAWoG fan series and as that will take up a decent chunk of my time, I can't play this game anymore. Again, sorry.

I think the length of time between the end of the turn and the launch of the new turn has inspired a lot of it.

Spamage,
What happened to Nepal exactly?

I don't see any changes on the map, and no move either in the war updates.

Hmmm...I wonder why the French are interested in Nepal?
