Wexton's a great candidate for VA-10. I look forward to watching her beat Comstock.

I'm really thinking the NRSC will triage the VA senate race at some point or another to focus on other states,  along with PA.

Corey Stewart and Lou Barletta.....wow, great job Republicans!

In order to triage it, didn't they need to compete in the first place?

GOP still below 60% in the two-party vote in SC with three-quarters in; anybody know how much (if any) of a counting bias the state has?

Well, the state does have a dem counting bias - the Black belt rurals report before the more populated republican upland. Most of the votes out are in unreporting greenville, which should go hard R.

Disgusting, Virginia.  Stewart is a racist and should be forcibly removed from the GOP.
The standard bearer of your party is a racist. You can't escape it.

It's good that EC is willing to say this.  He's a counter example to the popular meme that all Republicans are racists.

IIRC, it has a strong Dem bias for the first 4 percent of the vote; it should be pretty balanced by now, though.

Can someone tell me if Lewiston or Auburn have reported anything? Those should be strong Golden territories
Have not reported yet.

So what’s the deal with Olson? Under Maine law his voters get a second choice between Golden and St Clair or something?

Something I found interesting on VA SOS:

GOP Absentee Vote: 10,593
DEM Absentee Vote: 11,406

Democrats outvoted Republicans statewide by absentee ballot even without a statewide primary and with virtually no local races on the ballot.

Where has the ME-02 vote come in from thus far?

I feel like Golden's strongest areas are Lewiston/Auburn, Rumford/Farmington/Skowhegan, and Aroostook County. So if those are still out, I'll feel slightly better.

There's nothing from any of those besides Farmington (which Golden indeed won) and Aroostook County (which St. Clair is currently winning big.)

St. Clair is leading Golden 51.5%-38% in Aroostook County with 17 precincts in. Golden won 258-189 in Farmington, Rumford hasn't come in, Skowhegan hasn't come in, Auburn hasn't come in, and Lewiston hasn't come in.

Only Farmington is in. Golden won Orono (home to the University of Maine),

Stewart's victories in Fairfax and Loudoun may be the nails in the coffin of the moderate suburban NOVA Republican.

Why is Charleston county taking so slow? If they just release some more results, we can confirm whether Sanford has successfully been primaried or just heads to a runoff...

Damn the Aroostook numbers are surprising! I thought St. Clair would win Orono though, so that's encouraging.

TIL Maine has plantations as a form of municipal government.

Source: Looking up Grand Lake Stream, whose ME-02 Dem primary results are showing up as an exact tie for Golden and St. Clair with 2 votes each, at 100% reporting.

If Jared Golden losses tonight, I will be angry and the Maine democratic party shall be considered the most incompetent in the nation.

Hope that the SC governor runoff gets nasty. Gives James Smith some time to campaign and hammer his message down. He's a pretty decent candidate. Possible dark horse pickup for sure.

From 538:

"In South Carolina’s 4th District Republican primary, we are virtually certain to see a runoff in a 13-candidate field. (Rep. Trey Gowdy is retiring.) But the guy currently in first place, Lee Bright, has expressed support for the state’s right to nullify federal laws and the creation of a separate currency for South Carolina."

I keep hoping the whack-a-doodles have reached their limit, and I keep getting proven wrong.
