They certainly don't hurt him, unless he completely bungles the recovery/aftermath.

However, If Hanabusa can get funding for the recovery (whatever recovery you can have from a volcanic eruption), she'll keep her edge where it is, and maybe grow it slightly.

Unless he offers up a sacrifice to Pele and Kilauea stops erupting i dont know if itll make much of an impact
