I know she's very unlikely to win, but how much can she impact the race?

Well first, I didn't say that, and second, Cardin is one of the only 4 Democrats that opposed the Iran deal.

No, she's not Marie Newman, Cynthia Nixon, or even Brianna Wu. Cardin will either ignore her, or use her as a platform for a Sister Souljah moment against the radical Russia-sympathizer left. If anything, she'll push him to the right or at least let him embrace his centrist leanings.

So by that logic, Chuck Schumer is a moderate. (I know you’ll probably say yes since that’s what you implied but still)

Voting against the Iran Deal does not make a Democrat “moderate”

These people lack logic, they think Pelosi is a centrist.

You're right, he's not a moderate. He's decidedly right-wing.

Lemme guess, Bernie Sanders would be a member of the Conservative Party in the UK.

Then Bernie is decidedly right wing, he has a more conservative voting record.

Unless you count voting against stuff like wiretapping conservative, no, Bernie does not have a more conservative voting record. Bernie supports medicare for all, free college, and a $15 min wage. Ben Cardin does not support those things (could be wrong on the $15 wage bit though).

I appreciate the audacity of trying to slip Brianna Wu in here as a "left wing challenger."

I wouldn't be surprised if she had forgotten it too.

I don't think of Sen. Cardin as a pushover, so no.

I really don't get the hate for Cardin. He's just a fairly harmless, mainstream, forgettable, old Democratic Senator to me.

...She's not? She's constantly coming up with random far-left policies that have no basis in reality.

She's not a good one (and neither is Manning) but she's certainly styling herself as a progressive.

90% is his refusal to rubber-stamp All Holy High's Iran deal.

Err...the Iran deal was one of the great foreign policy successes of the Obama administration.  Just sayin'  But obviously opposing it doesn't make one right-wing by any means.
