I would say...    you.  However, someone who's a good representative doesn't stick to only hot-button issues regarding sex and strip clubs.

Neither, particularly.  Preston is a lot more socially conservative than mainstream Democrats, and I would think that few of them think communism is 'cool' either.

Fortunately not.  It doesn't much matter to me anyway, as I expect most of your 'organization' to forget whatever cause it is you think you're fighting as soon as the wind changes direction or a really great emo album comes out.  After that, you'll probably get good jobs, settle in a nice suburb somewhere, and start voting Republican.

Anybody who thinks an ideology with a history of evil is 'cool' or 'sexy' doesn't deserve to be taken seriously anywhere.

Not all communists were evil though.

What was wrong with Partido Guatemalteco del Trabajo?

BTW, you think I, or anyone else as sex crazed as me (most campus Democrats) would ever vote for the party of the religious right?

I think it would be best if you and your 'organization' left politics alone completely.  Seriously, leave it to the people who know what they're talking about.  You'd be doing the Democratic Party a favor, in fact.

So? Look at the fascist regime they were fighting.

Since I can recite about how pretty much every county in Minnesota voted and can do the same for almost every major metro area in the country, and know the demographics of almost all congressional districts, I'd say I know what I'm talking about.

Aside from that I don't hold any major position in the Campus Democrats.

So?  I can name every President of America.  Does that automatically make me qualified to discuss the merits of a failed ideology that has caused more deaths than any other?

No because lots of elementary school students can name every President.

Now if you knew about the situations in countries where such ideology had most of its strength and the type of people those in that ideology were fighting, you would be. PGT were freedom fighters who battle the horrific regime of Efrain Rios Montt. Are you familiar with the guy? Probably not. If you were, you most certainly would agree he was quite the scumbag.

"The other guy was worse."

Is that meant to be a defense of their communist ideology?

No, it means that two bad guys were fighting each other.  Kind of like the eastern front in WWII.

BRTD in ideological persuasion, yet Cosmo Kramer in ideological proximity.

No, the Communists were good because they actually helped the poor. Much like a modern day Robin Hood, kill the rich and redistribute their assets to the poor. Hell one of the communist groups in Guatemala was called "Guerilla Army For The Poor". They saved the lives of the starving and the sick who couldn't afford food or health are.

Of course they weren't as great as the Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional in El Salvador, the greatest freedom fighters in the Western Hemisphere of the 20th century.

Probably BRTD---he holds the liberal positions most member of the party subscribe to, although not in his extreme ways.

Neither really represents the Democratic party, but BRTD probably comes closer than Cosmo Kramer.  That's why I vote Republican.
