Yeah, Orrin Hatch is a trumpist, news at 11. Just watch this guy in judicial hearings. Other Republicans either ask fairly legitimate questions or just don't show up, but this guy spends his 5 or 10 minutes extensively praising the Nominee and asking them to reaffirm how great they are.

Oh, my God!

This  is the stuff of which a personality cult forms.

The emptier the leader is of moral conviction and intellectual substance, the more he needs the personality cult. Obama let his record speak for himself. Trump is Putin's greatest student in America.

Fake news. Washington and Lincoln were not born before Hatch's lifetime.

It's not a very high bar to cross to be better than those guys. It's a matter of ranking the greatest leaders in the history of the world at this point, and there is a clear top 10, but unfortunately, he is still at the bottom of that list. Good company to keep:

1. Vladimir Lenin
2. Barack Obama
3. Jesus Christ
4. John Wooden
5. Christopher Columbus
6. St. Augustine
7. Catherine the Great
8. Vladimir Putin
9. Donald Trump
10. FDR
HM: Mahatma Gandhi, Joan d'Arc, King Arthur, Julius Caesar, Jean Luc Melenchon

2. Sir Winston Churchill
3. Mohandas Gandhi
4. Meiji
5. Charles deGaulle
6. Mao Zedong

I hate Mao. I wish that I could instead put Sun Yat-Sen in the list.

Hatch remembers the presidencies of Washington & Lincoln vividly, as he was a young man during both of their presidencies.

Troll Warning:

Trump also added that "Washington was a wood-toothed slave owner who traveled through time and changed his name to Barbara Bush"

He was actually well into his forties during Lincoln's presidency

I think your list is showing some chronological and geographical bias. (I mean, deGaulle? Really? I get that he's fairly big in terms of the 20th Century, but top 10 in the last five centuries?)

At least in the same class as those you listed are:

Suleiman the Magnificent
Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great
The Qianlong Emperor of China
Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden
William III of England
Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu
Holy Roman Emperor Charles V
Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand III
Ivan IV of Russia
Louis XIV of France

It is fine to admire them more. But Lincoln did not found America, and Churchill made sure that Hitler stayed off the list.

I do not admire Mao Zedong (body count).
