Trump attacks protections for refugees from ‘sh**thole’ countries in Oval Office

For all the blue avatars or anybody else on here trying to defend this comment. The problem with the statement isn't that he called the countries s**tholes. We all agree that these country are lesser developed than the US and have several problems. The problem is that he said he rather have immigrants from Norway. Anybody who thinks that he chose Norway because it just happens to be a more developed country is lying to themselves. He know what he was doing, he meant to be sly, he meant it to be racist, and anybody on here who denies it or try to take it out of context is just as bad as him. 

Maybe but could it be that Norway also has a low corruption rating, developed economy, highly skilled workers, and citizens that are bilingual and frequently speak English? Just a thought. Immigration is more than just skin color.

I just imagine Lincoln or TR sitting in the Oval Office and saying "why do we always get people from sh**tholes like Ireland and Italy?".

Gotta love it, baby.  It only took about 115 years for one of the most recognised of American mottos to transform from "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free" to "why are we having all these people from sh**hole countries come here?"  Actually, we should have the old engraving replaced with the president's question today.  It's the perfect reminder of our greatness.

There's value is taking more educated, English-speaking immigrants. There is also value in taking less educated, lower-skilled immigrants. Lower class immigrants literally built this country, and they've contributed so much to our history, culture, and economy. It's still valuable today to accept some lower skilled immigrants from Africa and Haiti and "sh*ithole" countries like them; the issue is that Trump doesn't see that.

It's worth noting that white supremacists hold the Nordic countries in high regard and co-opt the cultural. That is because it has the whitest ancestry of anywhere. If you run across them on social media they often have names that contain the word "north" or are related to Norse mythology.
