During the certification process Moor will find an 11,000 transposition mistake in Jefferson county that will put him ahead.

Ah right, I'm also the prince of Wales, and you are totally not a kiddie diddler.

Is it just me, or I find Roy Moore's little poem recitation creepy. I mean really dude, writing about a little girl? I feel like that was his final middle finger to the victims and all those who were against him. A dog whistle if one will.

I am very pleased with Secretary Merrill, thank you sir for doing a good job. Frankly, he is by the far the best Republican statewide currently serving in Alabama. And if Doug's seat must go red in 2020 (not entirely convinced here yet, sorry!), I would want Mr. Merrill to have it.

remember,he willingly voted for Moore. Just because he does his job honorably does not make him likeable.

Very true, I am not saying I really like the guy, but I can't think of any statewide GOPer in Alabama who is any better than him. He is the best of the worst.

For all those still holding out on Moore, just eat the darn loss already. You lost, it's over. I know it burns like a fireant on a toenail, but it's the right thing to do, I've been in those shoes too many times lately, your turn.

I actually appreciate and like Big Luther's farewell speech a lot. He was a pretty bad senator, but I still think that at heart he is a good man, and was actually a fairly good state attorney general. I wish him and his family all the best as they continue on with their lives, and best of luck to Senator Strange in retirement or any other endeavors that he may undertake.

These are my bros. I am so glad that Jones is tacking to the right and moving centerwards, he is associating himself with the right people to create an image such as JBE and Manchin, and he has also refused to call for Trump's resignation, and says he will not vote with the democratic party on all issues. Very good for reelection.

He also hired a blue dog coalition policy director as his deputy legislative director.

Even if he votes like Joe Manchin, he would still be a vast improvement over Roy Moore or whatever other deranged theocrat or Teabagger the AL-GOP would nominate.

Finally, someone who gets the value of Joe Manchin's.

I used to think that Roy Moore riding his horse aggressively was cool, then I saw Selma. It is actually a terrible optic:

Who would expect that values voters would behave like mafia enforcers.

Surely you've heard of Family values.

Sad but true.

The thing that just smothered Moore like a cheating estranged husband married to an eastern european (not that I would know). was raw vote totals in Jefferson county. Jones basically managed to stay in lockstep with Hillary's raw vote total in the county, and essentially get presidential turnout in the county. And keep in mind that this statewide election only saw about 63 voters for every 100 that participated in The Trump-Clinton race. Meanwhile Moore could not even get half of the raw total that Trump's poor performance in the county got him. This was simply too much for even Moore to make up, and thus lost the county by over 83,000 votes, versus the Trump loss of just over 22,000.
