Does Roy Moore have any sort of political future after this? Will he run against Jones in 2020 or will he aim for some sort of Alabama office like Supreme Court (again)?

I certainly hope so, then Democrats might have another chance at winning an office in Alabama.

“God told me to run for Senate!”
-Roy Moore

If that’s the case, then tonight’s result is proof that there really is a god. He kept that bastard out of the Senate.

Seeing that he lost a nationwide race in freaking Alabama, I doubt Trump or the RNC would be too thrilled with the prospects of him running again. I do hope he challenges Jones in 2020 though! Easy reelection!

lol no way. The fact that he almost won despite being accused of raping teenagers after the primary is more a testament to how much the Democrats are hated in Alabama than Roy Moore actually having a political future.

Of course he runs again. It's Roy Moore; he'll keep running for office until he's dead. Whether he wins any more Republican primaries is a different question. He'll very likely try to run for the AL Supreme Court again though.

He can't. He's past the mandatory judicial retirement age.

Knowing Donald Trump, Moore will probably get nominated to the Supreme Court.

If that was no sarcastic answer:

Nah, even the orange clown isn't that dumb, knowing that Moore's chances to get senate confirmation are ZERO. Even with 52 or 53 GOP senators.

As much as I usually want to answer "yes" to questions like this, I really think he's done, except for sending out "take back America" newsletters to his supporters or whatever.

I suspect he goes third party and runs for President in 2020 on the Constitution Party ticket, but only if Trump is forced from office.

I don't know that they'd have him.  They wanted him in the past, but he wouldn't take the plunge.

I think he'll do so as a third party candidate if he runs again.

Moore would love to stick it to the GOP Establishment.  And I'm sure he'd love to stick it to Richard Shelby.

The Constitution Party would probably be eager to gain the support of a (now) nationally-known figure. The question is that if Moore thinks he has a political future, would he want to basically forfeit any chance of being elected by defecting to a third party?
