You expect him to endorse a Democrat?

No one here said anything about "endorsing" anyone.
Other Republicans have come-out saying they reject Moore, without saying they "endorse the Democratic candidate."

I feel like I should be, but politics has lost the ability to shock me.

Isn't the net effect the same?  The Democrat wins the election!

Serious question: is there anything a political candidate can do (besides endorse liberal policies) that would make it worthwhile to not endorse the Republican candidate?

Not any more disgusted than I already was. He's a wanna be child murderer and rapist. There's really not much room for him to sink until he experiences more success at enacting his sick fantasies.

He should do what Bush 41 did to David Duke.  Some candidates are so disgusting that I would hope not even the President from the same party would support them (of course, Trump himself fits with such candidates imo).

Moderately disgusted. I would be very disgusted, but sadly this is to be expected.

I can see it now:

The year is 2019: Clay Higgins is on trial for pulling some 'vigilante justice' on an unarmed black man that was selling weed in his neighborhood. This act makes him so popular with the Republican base that he is immediately the frontrunner to take on Jon Bel Edwards.

It's so hard for me to be disgusted by anything he does anymore. Every time he does something retarded (so at least once a day), it makes me more numb to the new stupid stuff he does

Same bro...same

Not sure how to vote because while this is certainly disgusting, it's completely expected and perfectly in-line with Trump's past and present behavior.

Another day, another insult to my political values.

This man was apparently trying to seduce teenagers while well past adolescence, and while involved in the execution of justice as an assistant DA. The potential for miscarriages of justice was far too great to be worth the risk. At the time, Americans may have been more loosey-goosey about adult-teenager relationships, as the time was much more permissive than what we now have; indeed we live in a time becoming even more repressive about sexuality. Sure, homosexuality and heterosexuality have become legally equal under most circumstances, but other than that, the sudden crackdown on prominent perverts (those who abuse power to get sex or get involved with underaged partners) indicates that the cold wave is just settling in.

I also find the hypocrisy of this man appalling. If one is to be a Bible-thumper, then one had better not be hiding a major sin while proclaiming piety. Indeed, fundamentalist Christianity offers plenty of opportunity for  redeemed 'sinners' who confess their misdeeds to preach the Gospel. "I used to be an addict/drunk", "I used to consort with prostitutes", "I used to steal cars", "I used to be a shady businessman", or "I spent time in prison for armed robbery" can begin such a sermon. What follows, of course, is "and then I found Jesus, Who rescued me from the pit of fire to which I was headed"...

Sure, that might not be my taste. But there are people headed to some metaphoric lake of fire, and they might need the cheap grace that fundamentalist Christianity offers.

I noticed how in the "conservative" 1980s, it was normal to show topless women in a PG-rated film, but today everyone would complain. School starts earlier than it ever has before, parents police their kids more than they ever have before, schools expel students for more things than they ever have before, employment of teenagers and dropping out of school is more restricted than ever before, etc. Also, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7783979.stm and http://www.francetravelguide.com/french-women-are-putting-their-bikini-tops-back-on.html
