CNN now reporting that Sessions's testimony is now under scrutiny. Good.

Like I said: We might have another Friday night resignation.

I don't see anything proving Sessions perjured himself yet. Bringing up meetings and travelling to Russia might look shady but isn't proof of collusion.

This is what Sessions testified to Congress during his confirmation hearings:

If Sessions was indeed aware of anyone in the campaign communicating with the Russian government -- which there now appears to be evidence of -- then his testimony above was a lie.  If he was under oath, it's perjury.  Even if not under oath, it would be a crime of lying to the federal government (USC 18:1001).

I forgot he said communicate rather than collude.  Yeah, this is really bad for him.

This has been on my mind for the past few days....what if Donald himself is in the next round of indictments? What happens?

By Justice Department policy the President cannot be indicted. If Mueller somehow wins that internal battle and gets him indicted anyway, there would be a legal fight over whether it is Unconstitutional for a sitting President to face charges. It would probably go all the way to the Supreme Court.

If Mueller wants to indict Trump, he may be able to do it with a sealed indictment that is unsealed only when Trump is no longer President. He could also label him as an unindicted co-conspirator in another indictment, which may have a similar effect politically.

I believe he was under oath for that.

Perhaps Trump will use Session's perjury as an excuse to fire him? He seems increasingly keen to do so.

Anyone else seeing chatter that vin weber might be going down?

Would be really disappointing to see a once respectable politician go down.

Three Representatives, including fan favorite Louie Gohmert, are trying to get rid of Mueller with some kind of symbolic resolution.

Trump would be a real moron to fire Sessions. 48 Dems + McCain/Corker/Flake would block any any appointee who would try to shut down the investigation.

Surprised to see his name since he was very anti-Trump in the campaign

Many 'anti=Trump' Republicans were even more anti-Clinton and anti-Sanders.

How many people would protest the firing of Mueller?

I would!

I have participated in only one demonstration.

Rule of Law is even more essential to a free society than are elections. Heck, China and Iran have elections, too.
