I'm questioning my party loyalty (again). Increasingly, I've felt out of step with the national Democratic Party despite being socially liberal and fiscally moderate. I know that I'll be voting Democratic for House and other offices in November, but I feel like with mannerisms and personality, along with certain beliefs that I am to the right on (namely guns), I feel somewhat out of place with the rest of the party.

I know I won't be a Republican since they can't stop giving Trump a reach-around and I can't stand the soc-con Evangelical crazies, but I'm not sure if I belong in the Democrats at this point.

On another note, I will no longer be an NJ avatar as I will be moving to South Carolina to attend the University of South Carolina in Columbia.

Go ahead and ditch the D. Party ID just makes parties complacent. Plus College Dem organizations tend to be cliquey and not the sort you'd want to associate with regardless.

I may soon have to change my avatar to O-UT, because after visiting there, my girlfriend inexplicably wants us to move to St. George, Utah 🤔

I was in a lgbtq seminar this weekend, with lgbtq students from around the country. It was really fun- I felt like I'm improving my social skills considerably and I basically hanged out only with people I didn't even know before, which is very impressive for me. I was, naturally, into three different guys in this weekend- the first two I quickly discovered to have a boyfriend (oof) while the third... well, it's complicated. He said he likes my shirt, that he thinks I'm probably photogenic, that I have a "cool vibe" (how even) and that I act like a grown-up (I'm 19 and he's 24). He's also... really pretty (when I told a friend about that he said "look who got flirted with by the hottest guy in Law School", which I won't deny is an ego boost). The problem is, I just feel like I'm out of his league- not just looks-wise (I'm fairly confident about my appearance), but also in age and mannerism. He just seems way above me. I was advised to start talking to him, which I plan to try and do by trying soy milk and reporting my thoughts (he told me I need to try it). But still, I'm afraid of trying to take it further, it just seems like I don't really have a chance with him. He was probably just being nice to a kid.

I'm never gonna be happy, am I? No matter what happens, I'm always going to wind up sabotaging myself instead of getting help because I keep telling myself it's selfish.

IRL I'm kind of the same way, because I hate being a burden on anyone.  Just try to love yourself as much as you love anyone else.

Update on bone marrow donation: the patient’s doctors have decided that the patient does not need a transplant at this time. So, I don’t have to donate for the foreseeable future.

Currently my school is in a hot bed of controversy because our prom king identified as female.

I think those guys who trashed my school's instagram page also did it to the facebook page, and they were forced to delete the whole thing. I don't know why they trashed it, but i'm like 99% sure it's because our student body elected a drag queen as prom king.

'Last night I had the strangest dream,
'I'd ever had before,
Last night I dreamed that I called DoctorImperialism
A generic Democratic whore.
I dreamed I saw a mighty Mod room
The room was filled with (mostly) men
And the paper they were signing said
They'd have to mute Sanchez again.

(Nah seriously I dreamed that last night.)

I had fun at my senior prom, no humiliation involved.

Because high school students around here are stressed 24/7 and need some time to relax.

But because of the hypercompetitve environment, I don't believe we have a Prom King (though I could be completely wrong on that, never been).

I'm also pretty sure our school doesn't have a valedictorian for the same reason.

Just got a call from a number in New York telling me the IRS has issued a warrant for my arrest.

Naturally, I hung up and blocked the number. The IRS can’t issue warrants and if they need to talk to me they know where I live.

"the target"

i dont think anyone was targeted at my prom... it was incredibly dull, even when the best friend of the girl i was with tried to get me to abandon my date and leave with her.

lol what a time

I'm gonna see Avengers: Infinity War in six days if all goes according to plan. I've never been more excited for a movie in my life. This is gonna be awesome.

I imagine not having a valedictorian also has to do with the fact that the valedictorian usually cuts down on classes in smart ways rather than being truly gifted.
