My health teacher described the most depressed kid in the class as "a kid who wears earphones all the time and doesn't want to talk to anybody or do anything". Not verbatim, but that was the general gist. Burst into tears over it, because he made me realize: That's me, and I'll never be a productive member of society because of it.

No no, you don't understand: The only person getting in my way is me.

So I spent a minute gasping for air after I had a coughing fit. Maybe I should see a doctor.

I can assure you April is usually much more pleasant in MN.  This one has been the coldest in, well, living memory, so far.  People are still driving on the lakes in northern MN with up to 40" of ice on some lakes.  Unheard of.

I'm leaving again. Not sure when I'll come back exactly, but probably before the end of the Summer.

I have to draw a cartoon for health class and I'm trying to make it about a fictionalized version of myself but I also don't want to out myself because I can't think of any names other than my own.

So, yesterday this girl gave me one of her hairs.

This isn’t a euphemism: she pulled a hair out of her head and gave it to me.

So, some context is necessary: she had texted me before class and asked to copy some pages of a book I had. I agreed, and did it for her. We ended up sitting next to each other in class, and we were very giggly. Eventually a long, brown hair ended up on my desk, probably from the girl sitting in front of us. I held it up to ee and jokingly asked her if it was hers. She laughed and said no. Two minutes later she gives me one of her hairs. “It’s frehly washed,” she says. I couldn’t help but laugh.

Is she into me, and crazy? Not into me and crazy? Into me and not crazy?

She is either crazy or has a great sense of humour. And sounds more likely to be into you than not.
She is quite funny and tends to laugh at my jokes. I feel like she’s just extraordinarily awkward and may not know how to flirt (I’m also extraordinarily awkward and also can’t flirt, so...)

There is one drawback here: she’s a foreign exchange student and will be moving back to the UK in a matter of weeks.

Have you talked to her about Corbyn?
She LOOOOOVES Jezza.

Got stood up for the second time in three months - clearly I'm doing something wrong, but they don't even show up to give me a hint as to what it might be.

To anybody on Atlas who has done this, what factors might make you say yes to going out with someone, but then change your mind at the last minute without telling them?
