I am being crushed under a mountain of sleep debt. I don't know what's wrong with me. I can't sleep. It's like my brain forgot how to turn itself off at night. I'm going to lose my mind if this keeps happening.

Damn. What method have you tried to help you get to sleep?

I've tried cutting out electronics before bed, popping a boatload of Benadryl and Dramamine, I've went to bed earlier to try and give myself more time to sleep but I just ended up laying in bed awake even longer. I already exercise regularly so I don't think it's just a buildup of energy. The annoying thing is I usually feel really tired when going to bed, but once I actually go to bed, I stop feeling tired. It's like my body is trolling me Squinting

I think I'm going to try going to bed super early today, so I can fully reset my messed up sleep schedule. I just wish I had some Xanax or Valium to make it easy.

I'm a pretty bad sleeper myself. Sad  Some of my friends like Melatonin, but it gives me messed up dreams, LOL.

last night I dreamt there was pink neoliberalism all over the floor.

I have the inverse problem and rather than not being able to sleep, I wish I had time to get a proper sleep each night. College work and whatnut usually keeps me up to 3-3:30 AM and I'm up at 7:30 AM each morning. I've been going to bed earlier ironically now that I'm home for Spring Break and don't have to worry about doing a zillion assignments a week and this week have been getting more sleep.

Right there with you sista'.

And the worst part is when you get to that point where you're not all awake either in the middle of the night huh? The energy is just gone, the eyes are a bit droopy, but the mind races and nothing with go limp as should happen, yes?

Spoke to my doctor again today about my surgery, he says since it's not a major one and localized, he will put me on conscious sedation, meaning I do not have to be put to sleep for it and will be awake during it just heavily sedated, it eased me up a lot about the surgery now.

A year ago, I traded one employer with an alphabet soup name for another.

Yesterday, I found out that my new company got sold.  So now, I'll be working for MRT Consultants.  Or something.  Anyhow, it's another random set of letters.

I should probably start trying to memorize it, since they'll be my employer come April 2nd.

My brother worked for a company that went thru a corporate renaming only to be bought up by another company before the year was up.

I've been feeling some sort of dull pain in my chest for the past week or so. I barely felt it but in the past hour or so I've been feeling it pretty seriously. I know I don't have any blood problems or something, my physical fitness is great and I'm feeling otherwise good, so no idea what it is. I have a holiday starting from next week so if I keep feeling it until then I'll tell my parents (who'll freak out because that's what they do) and go to the family doctor to check it. I really, really, really hope it's nothing because I like my life right now and would like it to keep going smoothly, especially in the health department.
Hope everything is ok

Three days in Honolulu have been less than ideal. It was too windy to dock at the USS Arizona memorial, though Idid get to take a boat relatively close. It poured most of yesterday on a walking tour of the historic sites downtown, though I did get to sit in for the opening introductions in both the HI Senate and House. Today was cloudy and was supposed to rain, but I got a nice hike in to the top of Diamond Head in the am.

The one part that hasn't disappointed was the food. Uncle Bo's just up from the zoo had some fabulous pupu dishes for sharing with a real neighborhood vibe. Mr Donut's downtown was a perfect snack spot while walking. I found Koko Head Cafe on the way back from Diamond Head when I got off the bus to stop at a post office, would recommend it to anyone in that part of town.

Tomorrow we're off to our last island, Kauai. It would be nice to see some sun.

That's good.  Sometimes conscious sedation is even kind of fun. Tongue Grin

I hope it's easy and successful for you.

Just found out I scored very, very well on the SAT.
Interesting. If you don’t mind me asking, exactly how well?

I don't know who this person is, but I feel as though her absence can only be to your benefit.

I spent almost all of the last two days making this portrait, which I'm quite proud of.

The title is "Blind Owl."

(you can find this painting and more in the art thread on AAD!)

I recall getting a decent SAT score and a really good ACT score, but it didn't help me. It's not like I had the wealth to get into a good college even if I had a better GPA and more extracurriculars.

As for my life, I went to the art museum twice. Got most of it during the first trip, and went through 19th century-present art on the second time.
