All I've seen of Lake county are its ashes.

I've completed IA and traveled more in KY this year. I've been to all of the IL, IN and IA counties, so if I look at the nearest counties (and driving distances) in states adjacent to those completed I get

Oceana MI (241 mi)
Taylor WI (301 mi)
Delaware OH (330 mi)
Breckinridge KY (387 mi) Green KY (394 mi)
Taylor IA (398 mi)
Oregon MO (474 mi)
Cook MN (526 mi)
Bon Homme SD (543 mi)
Howard NE (587 mi)

What is your lifetime visited/not visited map of the Country?

In the index of popular threads stickied to this board is a link to states and counties visited. My last update on that thread was at the beginning of May and it has a map. I've added another 36 counties since then for a total of 2249/3142, and I'll probably post another update later this summer.

Your map has Butler County, Ohio as never visited. I am fairly sure that its closer to where you live than Delaware County, Ohio. Or is it among the 36 Counties you added?

Union (I've driven through it many times, but never stepped foot outside) or Warren County. I'm not sure which is closer.

I thought I had traveled I-75 north from Cinci in the early 90's, but found out a couple of months ago that it was I-71 which doesn't go through Butler OH. I visited Butler on Sunday to stop at the Barnes and Noble in West Chester before getting home and updating the farthest county list.

Geographically? Suffolk, NY. But, in terms of travel distance, Cheshire, NH is closer, although Ulster, NY is approximately the same geographic distance as Cheshire.

I think it's Suffolk for me too.

If we consider D.C. as my home base, then Tucker County, WV (183 mi).

Recently went to Tucker, so now Randolph County, WV (177 mi). Apparently Tucker actually was only 157 mi away (not sure how I miscalculated).

Since I've never been to the USA at all, I guess the closest county would be Aroostook County, ME.

However, if we're including foreign county equivalents, I don't recall ever having been to Montgomeryshire in Wales. I've never had a reason to go there.

In Utah it's Sanpete. In Missouri I'm not sure. For all I know it might even be in Kansas.

Jackson County, Oregon

That's just over 300 miles by car. I've been to every county in CA and NV.

Hit this in November of 2019. I think Lake, Oregon is probably the next one.
