Be on the lookout for a red BMW with MUON2 license plates. Smiley

On the legislative design?

I commute with a Fusion Hybrid, not the BMW.

Active members of the IL House are given a plate with a number equal to their seniority at the prior inaugural, while senators have their district number. The House plate rules date from pre-1982 when there were three members per district, thus no unique member for a district number.

What is your level of association with the IL House?

After lunching with RINO Tom I continues northwest and pushed my limit in IA.

I've been to all the IL counties, so if I look at the nearest in adjacent states (and driving distances) I get

Barry MI (210 mi)
Jay, IN (256 mi)
Florence WI (341 mi)
Butler IA (285 mi) Guthrie IA (344 mi)
Breckinridge, KY (387 mi)
Oregon MO (474 mi)

Walthall County, MS and unless I need wholesale bathroom fixtures at some point in my life, I never will.

Are the deals that good? Is it worth a side trip if I'm driving on I-55?

Well, I'm really not much of an expert, so I guess you'll have to judge for yourself

https://www.lutersupply.com/

Every now and then, I'll see a late night commercial on New Orleans TV for them.  They've got everything, can even get yourself one of them bidets.

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind. I'll be in New Orleans during the week of July 4 and plan on driving back home by way of I-55.

I did stop at Luter's and they do have quite a selection. I may have even found a replacement for a deteriorating corner sink.

Glad to have been of help

I have kin that still farm in Butler, though they technically live in Bremer.  Mom was actually up there from STL last week.  All lovely people.

Tough one... I’ve been to every county in WA. Perhaps Boundary County, ID?

Perhaps it's reputation is exaggerated, but isn't that a county no one sane would want to go to?

the closest one where I've only never driven through and nothing more than is probably Esteban Echeverría (a suburban county which at its closest is only 3 miles away from the Buenos Aires city limits)

Edit: Canning seems pretty nice so I may go visiting one of these days

If you are taking US 2 across country, Kootenai Falls is well worth a visit. There's a long suspension foot bridge over the gorge. It's in Lincoln county MT, but US 2 is less than 20 miles from Boundary ID at that point. When I visited the Falls I was on the way from Glacier NP to Coeur d'Alene ID. So there's maybe no need to go to Boundary, but it's worth passing through.

That clarifies something for me I'd long wondered about -- the numbering being based on seniority or district.

The cumulative voting model used for House elections until 1980 I find fascinating from a political science point-of-view. All kinds of tactical considerations thrust on the individual voter...

So currently representing Linn County Oregon here, and it looks like the closest one I've never been to (Unless my Mom took me there as a young kid and I don't remember) is Crook County, Oregon...

It used to be a Presidential Bellwether County voting for winning Presidential GE nominees in every election until 1988 when it narrowly voted for Bush Senior....

Here is a link to my Oregon thread where there are something like four posts that go into more of the detail of electoral history and demographics by place (Although honestly looking at I would probably look at revising it to take the election results from a text based list to more of a graphical chart format so that it's easier to quickly glance over rather than going down line item by line item).

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=252085.msg5669616#msg5669616

Needless to say, I don't envision BRTD setting foot in Crook County before me, as it has been shifting hard Republican over the years, well before the Trump Regime came to Political Power.  Wink

I took a long weekend to MI to se the fall foliage and some other interesting sites.

I've been to all the IL counties, so if I look at the nearest in adjacent states (and driving distances) I get

Barry MI (210 mi) Oceana MI (241 mi)
Jay, IN (242 mi)
Florence WI (341 mi)
Guthrie IA (344 mi)
Breckinridge, KY (387 mi)

The beginning of Dec I made to the last 4 IN counties on my list. This holiday season includes drives to KC, Austin, and Branson for New Years Eve. On our first day out we went to a steak fry in Shelby, IA before ending the day in Atlantic,

I've been to all the IL and IN counties, so if I look at the nearest in adjacent states (and driving distances) I get

Oceana MI (241 mi)
Jay, IN (242 mi) Delaware, OH (337 mi)
Florence WI (341 mi)
Breckinridge, KY (387 mi)
Guthrie IA (344 mi) Taylor, IA (398 mi)
Oregon MO (474 mi)

I've never been to the US, so by default Washington County, Maine.

Doing it for Spain, by municipalities, I think I have been to all municipalities in my home island of Gran Canaria. Though I certainly can't remember the last time I went to Valsequillo, a rural municipality though not too far from my home (about a 35 minute drive).

On other islands I'm unsure of the right answer as I don't remember every municipality I went to. By cardinal directions (sort of):

East and North: I certainly drove through every Fuerteventura municipality this summer and I think the one time I went to Lanzarote I drove through every municipality as well (long time ago though). That means the closest municipality to me is:

Barbate, Andalucía (1258 km) if you go by the surface (to be precise I'd land in Zahora beach)
Cádiz, Andalucía (1268 km) if you go by the municipal capitals or by provinces

West: Vilaflor, Tenerife, located 118 km away from my house. Though I'm unsure about Tegueste, Tenerife, which would only be 99 km away.

Edit: South: There isn't really anywhere directly South I haven't been on in Spain.

Also adding foreign countries:

East: Somewhere in Morocco around Tarfaya
North: Madeira Island in Portugal
South: Somewhere along the coast of Western Sahara
West: Depending on how lenient you are with the definition of "west" as opposed to northwest, it's either one of the Azores islands in Portugal or Bermuda island in the middle of the Atlantic.

Of course, to go to any of these places I'd have to take a boat or a plane.

I've completed IA and traveled more in KY this year. I've been to all of the IL, IN and IA counties, so if I look at the nearest counties (and driving distances) in states adjacent to those completed I get

Oceana MI (241 mi)
Taylor WI (301 mi)
Delaware OH (330 mi)
Breckinridge KY (387 mi) Green KY (394 mi)
Taylor IA (398 mi)
Oregon MO (474 mi)
Cook MN (526 mi)
Bon Homme SD (543 mi)
Howard NE (587 mi)
