Yeah, lets screw over the guys already getting screwed over the most by taxes.  Did you guys run out of made up taxes to screw the poor and lower middle class over with?  Perhaps something on disposable diapers (ya know, to save the environment)?  You already tax the sh**t out of the only things they can legally enjoy (beer and smokes), why not soda too?

If you guys hate the poor, hate the middle class, love war and violence...what part of the left is left?  Ahhh, the dumbass switch to a focus on identity politics...of course.

que?

Just lift the cap on social security and raise taxes on those workers who make over 250k and those families over 360k. (The 1 or 2 percent)

What is the upper class?  People like George Soros, Snoop Dog, Madonna, Katy Perry, Ben Affleck, Rosie O' Donnell, Miley Cyrus, LeBron James, and Matt Damon could have their taxes raised or at least at their current brackets with no write-offs allowed.  Those making $100,000 with 3 kids should have their taxes lowered like the rest of us.

Of course not. Taxes should be cut, not raised. Taxation in the U.S. is excessive, as it is in most of the developed countries and a lot of the underdeveloped ones. Can't see why anyone would want to raise taxes at this point. To remedy budget issues, social security benefits should be cut, as well as the military. DC and its beneficiaries do not need more of our money.

100k is barely enough to raise 3 kids.

It clearly is far more than enough to raise 2 kids, so I'm pretty sure 3 would be doable.

of course.  And in the other 98.7% of the country 100k/year is plenty to raise 3 kids just fine.

98.7% of land are doesn't equal 98.7% of the population. We have 100 million in the East Coast trying to stay afloat amidst inflated  rent and property taxes.
Are you really trying to argue that 100k/year isn't enough to raise three kids on the east coast?

It's well enough, ~ $ 49, 000 yearly was enough for my parents, with a family of 4 in Los Angeles, but things may have changed, though I know families who earn just more on that, and they have enough money to raise their 2-3 kids.

I'm more in favor of a flat tax system of about 10%, kind of like what Ted Cruz proposed.
