And now they need to...you know...come up with a bill that they can actually get 50 votes on. A whole different game than just a motion to proceed.

Capito and Heller should at least pay a heavy price for this.

Now Mr. McCain gets 15 minutes to annoy us with a speech.

Not a single Democrat tried to compromise on this. We're in this mess because the American people failed to send enough Democrats to Congress and the White House, not because the Dems in DC rolled over.

Murkowski and Collins are officially the Republicans SNL were looking for.

So going to ask this again (didn't get any takes last time), anyone here think that that this is the GOP tacitly pushing population reduction under the guise of ACA repeal? There is already a hatred of "the poors."

I am fully aware of the consequences of this bill. Rather than call people naive and take a rather lazy approach to analysis in just saying it's going to pass, take the time to actually read up on what's been going on in this process, and you'd know that passage of a bill is going to be very difficult. Not impossible, but examine this every step individually.

Maybe. Why do think they are replacing their War on Abortion with a War on Immigration?

LOL; Obviously No

McCain, if you opposed the "closed-door" process, then why did you just vote yes? Kirkpatrick, Why did you have to run such a poor campaign against this cuck? WHY?!?

Can't for the Trumpers to shout "WINNING" on Twitter despite losing on the topic several other times and this being just an advancement towards a floor debate.

Pretty much. Everyone who wants to vote on a bill will have to agree on a bill. How long do you think that this takes?

McCain delivering a grandstanding speech on partisan politics just after he casts a near party-line vote.
