I can understand rooting for him, but I encourage people to challenge their opinions even if they agree with me, and I frequently challenge my own.  I would find it intellectually dishonest to not.

well, he is pro-choice, something you wouldn't approve of.  I think I also heard he's pro gun control, which Bono is mostly opposed to I'm sure.  Not good conservative material I gather, but hey, a hispanic on the court looks great for Bush's poll numbers...

Yes, Bush is the kind of guy who would sacrifice principles by nominating a pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-torture hack like Gonzales for the sake of public support.
