Not really declaring independence...but I feel like nobody reads this, so now that I have your attention...

It is unfortunate that some of my key policy proposals, particularly things like high speed rail and healthcare reform have not materialized, I will be getting together with policy leaders within the South to help write and finalize some of these key bills so that we can work together for real progress in the coming days. I am also preparing the budget, which must be presented to the Chamber of Delegates by March as mandated by the Southern Constitution. I am looking for volunteers to help look at these numbers and guarantee that they are "OK" before the budget is finalized and sent to the Chamber of Delegates for review!

My Fellow Southerners, it has been my upmost pleasure to serve you as Governor! This is not goodbye permanently though as President is just Governor of the three regions if you think about it! I have full confidence that the South will continue to run smoothly with Diptheriadan now becoming Governor and the chamber of delegates continuing to run as before. Our journey to make the South and Atlasia a better place is just beginning, but for now, so long from Nashville and onto Nyman!
