We should take into account  tomorrow's suprise. Assange will publish another portion of Clinton emails to show connections between her foundation and Muslim terrorists.  Clinton perhaps will be questioned by FBI rather  than by debate's participants and guests.

At this point, I don't care about the debates. And I wonder if they will change anyone's mind. To me they are just mental distractions. I've already known years ago who I was going to vote for. I'm so done with all this crap, mainly with all the media coverage of Trump's crap. I want him gone already. Done with that idiocy.

You confirm my conjecture there are no undecided voters left by now.  The audience will be Clinton backers to ask Trump questions about that  idiocy. They will vote Clinton even if she is charged with treason and taken into custody.

Hillary won't be charged with anything. Everyone knows all there is to know about her, and it's way more information than we know about anyone else. There's nothing left to surprise us with. She is the most stable one, has been married for 40 years to the same person -- her only marriage. She is smart, politically savvy, knows how to forge friendships and alliances, knows her way around Capitol Hill, and on and on.

Trump is just a big fat joke and anyone who votes for him has got "issues", is all I can say. Trump is just a circus entertainer and that's all he's got to bring to this job of President. We can't afford to put this clown in office, setting ourselves back years and years. It would be a travesty.

Yes, the second debate will feature a different format with questions from the audience. But who will the audience consist of? If they are all Clinton backers no wonder Trump will lose. At the first debate Trump had to fight not only Clinton but also Holt. Next Sunday he  is expected to fight two moderators and the audience.

The audience is undecided voters chosen by Gallup. Make of that what you will.

That concerns me. Somebody who has not yet decided whether they will vote for Trump is somebody who apparently isn't all too concerned about the deplorable things he's said and done.
Exactly! Undecided voters at this point will be largely people who WANT to vote for Trump, but just need the excuse to do so.

The key phrase is "at this point".  Gallup selected audience for the debate months ago.

Next question for Mr. Trump comes from Sally Jones from Boulder, CO:

"Mr. Trump, with all the cyber-bullying going on today, and all the mean-spirited behavior in our schools, what kind of role model do you think you can be for kids like my five-year-old son Billy?"

"That's a great question Sally.  I'm so glad you asked that question.  Sally, we're gonna make America great again.  It's gonna be so special.  Believe me.  Billy, his school's gonna be great.  You wanna know who the bully is in this room?  She's right over there: crooked Hillary.  Secretary Hillary.  Can I call you that?  Is that ok?  See?  I'm the good guy here.  Secretary crooked Hillary, she would be such a disaster.  Believe me.  Believe me.  We're gonna make America great.  Thank you.  Great question.  Thank you."

Thank you Smiley.  Normally I have too much natural empathy to watch someone embarrass himself like this, but I loathe this man so intensely that I want him to be shamed on national television.

There is a fear in the back of my mind that his natural showmanship will kick in, and he will be able to read the audience, play off of them, and outperform Hillary.  It can't possibly get him out of his current hole, but it could stop the bleeding.

Given the audience is supposedly undecided voters, this likely means they hate both Clinton and Trump. Could be a tough crowd. The winner will be whoever can get the most traction out of them on the night, so as far as I can see the two candidates start off even (regardless of what happened in the first debate).

I still don't know who won the VP debate. Everybody says Pence won, but he lied throughout and I think it may ultimately have helped the Clinton campaign, so if that is correct, who won?
This debate will be like most - Hillary fans will correctly think she won. Trump fans will incorrectly think he won. Others will base it on silly things like who had unusual expressions on their face, sniffed too much, sighed too much or interrupted too much. In all likelihood, Trump will be worse at those things but who knows.

My predictions:

Trump will waste much of his time trying to revisit things from the first debate, because he did so poorly and seems incapable of letting things go.

While he's doing that, Clinton will be busy winning the second debate.

Then--if he shows up for it--the third debate will be more of the same.

If Trump's "townhall" rally going on right now is any indication, I think we're in for a repeat of the first debate

Clinton beats Trump by a smaller margin. Clinton is a way better debater when it comes to one on one.

Having read about Trump's New Hampshire town hall, and just seen a bit of it (thanks for posting the video, ApatheticAustrian), I may have to revisit my prediction of a draw.

This man is amazing. He can't answer a question. He can't stay on the same subject for more than thirty seconds. He rambles, touching on a few key talking points as and when he remembers he's been told to say them. He switches mid-sentence from talking about himself to bashing Clinton. He does that 'asshole' gesture with his right hand constantly. He looks about as presidential as Scooby Doo.
