CentristRepub - mild FF (standard Dem, anti-leftist tho)
GregTheGreat - mild HP (Republican but less cringe than others and FF on some issues)
PSOL - mild FF (really good guy but too far left and some of his policy proposals are batsh**t)

Greg is an FF even if you disagree with him. Pretty friendly, adds to the forum, his threads are nice. And has denounced some of the most extreme members of the GOP, such as MTG. With all due respect to him, he can be a bit cringey or gullible at times (no offense meant), but he's a pretty solid poster who is more of a mild FF than a mild HP even if you disagree with him on everything.

Appreciate the assessment of me but I'm more conservative than that; my anti-wokeness, anti-transgenderism, fiscal conservatism (though I'm starting to rethink that), etcetra, would make me much too right-wing for the Democrats. Though yes, I'm a much closer fit to them than I am to the GOP.

I personally consider Greg and you to be FFs despite disagreements with both of you (you, as a standard liberal; Greg, as a standard conservative). As for PSOL, I'm sure some of their views are really crazy given they claim to be to the left of Bernie Sanders, but I haven't seen anything massively terrible from them thus far myself, so will go against the grain and say FF for the moment.

Anyway,

PSOL - FF. One of my favorite posters. When I see he's the most recent poster on the board index, I know it's must-read material.

T'Chenka - FF. Could stand to Combat some of his Liberalism, but ultimately a solid, reliable lefty poster.

CR - Frustrating Fighter. He has good instincts on lot of stuff and then ruins it with his "abortions for some, miniature American flags for others" level of Centrism For Centrism's Sake. For a Clintonite Democrat (who won't admit that's what he is), his instincts lean towards justice until CFCS kicks in. But he's young, so he'll grow out of it, maybe.

I'm sure my opinion of PSOL will become less rosy as I learn more about their views.

But again - as I told PSOL: I'm not a centrist on most things. I'm very left-wing on guns and the environment and COVID, for instance. I don't subscribe to 'centrism for centrism's sake,' but I do in fact still support the 'safe, legal and rare' standard - the very reasonable and sensible standard many of our politicians, both Democratic and Republican, supported for a long time. I also happen to be a moderate on a few other issues. But none of it is 'CFCS' at all, believe me. It's jus that I don't want to be an 'extremist for extremisms' sake' on anything, and I find that the moderate view is the most correct sometimes. On the vast majority of issues, though, again - I'm no centrist.
Also you aren't wrong about me being a Clintonite Democrat, actually. I find myself in agreement with most of his presidency.

A random example off the top of my head : he wants the government to socialize / take over the porn industry and have the government hire directors, screenwriters, and actors to make legal government porn, while banning either all other porn or all non-amateur porm (not sure which). The implications being that he wants the govermment to be the one to decide if threesomes, doggy style, BDSM, interracial, LGBTQ and so on are appropriate or inappropriate types of porn for us to watch on film.

Oh...I see. Yeah, I get that he's an HP now.

CentristRepublican - I think you'd be much happier as ConsevativeDemocrat Tongue But seriously, I admire your passion and dedication, I think you're a pretty interesting person. FF.

Klobmentum - often to my left on a number of economic issues, but is a wonderful person and valuable contributor to the forum. FF.

King TChenka - not afraid to stand up for what they believe in and clearly very passionate. FF

I think your opinion of me really inherently depends on the posts of mine you've viewed most recently, and that makes sense. Like right now, when I entered the thread, I fully expected you to call me an FF for now given that our recent interactions have been mainly on issues we're in agreement on, and that have been quite pleasant. If we've just had a heated argument about biologically male trans women swimming in women's sports, an issue we both obviously vehemently disagree on, and you think I'm a transphobe, obviously you'd vote/call me an HP. However, right now, the most recent posts of mine have largely been what you'd expect from a liberal Democrat - left-wing positions on the environment and guns (my two most left-wing issues). So, you should be inclined to call me an FF at the moment. If we have an argument again that leaves you angry with me, I fully expect for you to think of me as an HP then. The same thing applies to Fuzzy - he considered me an FF right until I attacked him for supporting the Big Lie, at which point I became an HP. From there, his assessment of me slowly went back to Neutral, where I believe it's been ever since. My own opinion of Fuzzy also depends on this - I consider him a massive HP right now because of his comments regarding Buffalo/Uvalde (particularly Buffalo), but not that long ago I thought of him as Neutral.

On another note, yeah, in practice I'm basically a centrist who supports Democrats a majority of the time since Democrats >>> Republicans even if they're far from perfect, so "CentristDemocrat" is closer to reality. But I nonetheless really like my username "CentristRepublican" - it has a nice ring to it, for one thing - and so I will keep it. But yeah, definitely more of a Democrat than a Republican (Independent is the best fit by far though).

1. PQG (Massive FF - being Indian-American is just icing on the cake)
2. OSR (Neutral right now - would be a mild HP if not for being a fellow Indian-American)
3. Scarlet (Mild HP after the recent incident)

PQG and NOVA Green are both big FFs (and PQG being Indian-American only reinforces that).
OSR is a mild FF (being Indian gives him a big bump ofc).
