Really sorry to hear this now that it appears there is significant supporting information to make this a reality and not a simple misunderstanding.

Naturally, my genuine condolences to his family and those who knew him best in life, outside of his Atlas persona.

I was half tempted on posting one of his classic "Christmas Elves" style images in his honor, but alas was not able to find an image worthy of his "Christmas Countdowns".

RIP Grumps a fellow founding member of the Atlas Geriatric Society, and my heart goes out to Mrs. Claus.

Sad to hear how he passed after a painful battle with cancer, at the relatively young age of 64.

Not sure if The Beatles were one of his favorite bands, but at the end of the day we all continued to love Grumps even once he turned (64), and very distressed to learn about his death.

Funeral was tonight.  The president of state professional organization, spoke about is many contributions.

I wish I could relate not just how much of a great guy he was, but how brilliant and how leadership he showed.

This is a sad reminder that none of us are promised tomorrow.  We're not really promised the rest of the morning.  It's sad that Grumps has passed, but it will happen to all of us, and it will happen to those closest to us.  It's a reminder for some to, perhaps, not procrastinate over saying or doing something important.

Grumps and I didn’t see eye to eye on a lot and he angered me in a lot of ways, but during a heated argument he’d say something that would lighten the mood and make me smile. I didn’t like his views but I respected him and occasionally we would find a common ground. And he’d call me Clay

I just said a prayer for him and his family.
