Massive HS

I don't understand how anyone over the age of 16 can like this show. Don't get me wrong, I loved South Park when I was like 9 because I though I was so cool and edgy because I watched it. I can't believe that a lot of my friends like this show.

I stopped watching the show a couple of years ago. It's so unfunny and stupid. Everything about the show is absolutely terrible.

I was just watching the episode about Asperger's Syndrome a couple of days ago, and it was absolutely unfunny.

I actually like Family Guy a lot better (although FG has gone downhill in recent years).

What do you guys think?

I used to think it's ok, but it really is a bad show.  HS.

Family Guy is definitely better.

Pretty dismal these days but Family Guy is vastly worse.

So European countries should import comedians? Sad

Both are bad.

Hit and miss show. Agree that it's vastly superior to Family Guy which is awful.

Back when I was a kid I hated it with a passion (because they dared to sometimes have conservative viewpoints), and then when I got older my view reversed.

The South Park video game is pretty good.

Horrible show.

Mean spirited and dishonestly libertarian, by which I mean it mocks all points but its own and never admits bias.

It's an okay series. Still better than the Simpsons, but still worse than Family Guy.

Used to be better.

See, that's the problem we've been trying to explain to you for years now. By shielding yourself from anything that is even remotely inconsistent with your ideology you're only making your mind narrower and narrower.

George Carlin and Howard Stern would like to have a word with you.

I have to admit, I wanted to attack you for being a stick in the mud when it comes to "offensive" humor, but then again, you actually are one of the funnier posters so I have no argument there Tongue.

Ran out of ideas as it went on, but at its peak some of the funniest satire I've seen and absolutely hilarious in it's ridiculousness.  FS, easily.

This last season was really good. In fact, the best in years. It was a badly needed revival (well, the Game of Thrones parodies were great too) for the show.

Agreed. They tried a good deal of new things, and they worked out really well.

Smiley
This was my #1 episode of all-time. It remains my phone background since then. And I'm not your typical anime fan. I think I watched it about 30 times in the first week and was able to recite it to people from perfect memory.

Tweek, Craig, and Randy are the only reasons I ever started to watch the show a couple years ago, but I like Token and Kyle too. (Also Sheila!) That's an adorable friend group!

The video game was A+ material btw - the only thing I bought on Xbox last 3 years.

I've gone back and forth on it over the years. They've had some amazing episodes (like the one lampooning scientology), but it's really hit or miss for me. I probably do like it better when it makes fun of things I don't like, but I used to get really frustrated for presenting episode-ending moral lessons that made problems seem simpler than they actually are. I do admire its creativity and ambition, though.

Not ever episode is a masterpiece, but they are good for 2-6 great shows a year and most of the rest is pretty damn good.  But as always, my favorite part of these threads is BRTD's stock reply that describes his favorite cartoon much more accurately than SP.  It always makes me think "BRTD" is just a huge art project by a conservative.

Still better than anything that Seth MacFarlane extrudes out of his anus.

You do realize Family Guys is using exactly the same approach, don't you?
