like with Shuster, Republican primary voters prove that they don't care about corruption.

but with the defeats of Huelskamp and Forbes, they seem to be moving in a less right-wing direction. Huh.

At this time, based on late ballot reporting, I am ready to make the following call in WA:

WA-4 slot 2 goes for Clint Didier(R). Dan Newhouse (R) was earlier projected to win the first slot.

Current results for WA-8:

Reichert (R) 56532 (already projected to win first slot)
Ventrella (D) 17494
Ramos (D) 13012

WA-7:

Jayapal (Socialist) 55001 (already projected to win first slot)
Walkinshaw (D) 29334
McDermott (D) 28112

And there we go, TN-3 D called for Shekari and TN-6 D called for Kent.

That wraps up tonight's primaries.

On Saturday, we have the virgin islands, but it's not like that's worth caring about.

Next Tuesday, we have CT, MN, VT, and WI, including the high profile battle between Paul Ryan and Paul Nehlen.

Brady Walkinshaw wins second place in WA-7 and will advance to the general against Pramila Jayapal. Walkinshaw is considered the establishment candidate in the race.

By the way, JCL, I have a question. If Indiana wants Tea Party conservatives, then how did Trump and Young win the primaries?
Yeah, tell us.  They don't want Tea Party Conservatives, they tried with Mourdock, and now they're saying "Never again!"

Young was backed by Ryan and McConnell. Mourdock messed up. That's on him. Stutzman didn't make any such gaffs.

Trump won because of the Carrier mess. Had that not happened Cruz is our nominee.

Surprised McDermott conceded already: The Gap is under 3,000 and there are 61k votes left in King County as a whole. (Not sure how that breaks down district by district, but it's not an insignificant amount)

I hope Walkinshaw wins. #NeverJayapal

Again, I cannnot stress this enough, Walkinshaw and Jayapal are exactly as liberal as each other. Jayapal is not a socialist, you are probably confusing her with the other Indian-American woman in Seattle politics.

In any case, I hope whoever loses the general runs again for another race. Seattle Mayor maybe.

like with Shuster, Republican primary voters prove that they don't care about corruption.

but with the defeats of Huelskamp and Forbes, they seem to be moving in a less right-wing direction. Huh.

Forbes tried running in a district he'd never represented before, and Huelskamp repeatedly voted against local interests. Neither lost because they were too conservative.

Proud of my state, and happy to see FF Jayapal triggering people who assume she's a socialist because Bernie endorsed her. Yeah, Murray and Inslee are safe, and so is Heck.

There was a socialist elected to the Seattle City Council, my guess is that the people here believe Jayapal is that person.  Jayapal is a Democratic State Senator, not a Seattle City Councilor.
Jayapal is a socialist too.
Just because someone is really liberal and you don't like them doesn't make then a socialist.
If Bernie, who is a socialist, endorsed them during the primaries, they are a socialist. During primaries, there is no reason why a socialist would endorse a non-socialist as it would be against their interests.
And this is the reason that you sound really stupid when you type.

Right, because I tell the truth that everyone else is unable to realize.

A Bernie endorsement = socialist? I guess Hillary's a socialist too, then!

He endorsed Hillary in a general election. That's different.

So he couldn't have just thought Jayapal was the best candidate? And we shouldn't judge her on her own merits, and not merely the fact that Sanders supported her?

This might have had some merit if Bernie had endorsed lots of downballot democrats across the country, but he's only endorsed 5: Teachout, Kingston (lost primary), Flores (lost primary), Jayapal, Canova. The one thing they all have in common - all considered the most liberal candidate running, and all endorsed Sanders for President. That pretty much screams socialist.
