Is Trump's Veterans thing beginning to turn into a massive flop?

With no major networks covering it and major veterans groups not wanting anything to do with it or not knowing, is this turning into a big flop for the Donald?

I wonder if he'll come out and say the vets groups are low energy losers who don't represent veterans?

I'm worried that my dislike for the Donald in general and this stunt in particular might be influencing my perception, but it's starting to seem that way.

Right now, it looks like he's not going to get coverage, and has no veteran's group supporting his "veterans event". Cruz challenge has gone unanswered and Trump's Twitter looks increasingly desperate. If all that is followed this evening by a ranting Donald on Twitter at failed event, and matched by a substantial and well-received Trump-ignoring debate that still manages to get good ratings and then is followed up by a defeat in Iowa, that's a brutal narrative.

That's a number of huge 'ifs', but I don't see Trump as dealing well if he truly starts to slide.  I'm certainly crossing my fingers.

I actually think it's a good thing that no veterans groups are accepting donations. It gives Trump a chance to announce his very own veterans charity created and managed by the Trump Organization. It'll be bigger and better than any other vet charity out there.
