Which is more Liberal: BC or Washington State

Both Provinces are generally are considered as being comparable to each other, with similar geography, climate and demographics.

Both BC and Washington State  have thriving progressive urban areas, while both   share a large  Conservative interior region.

I would   personally say Washington State is more liberal, mainly because I would say Seattle is probably slightly to the left of Vancouver, their are pockets (mainly suburbs) where both the BC Liberals and Conservatives are competitive. Also their is no real place equivalent to the Fraser valley in Washington State. I would ignore the failed attempt at getting a legal marijuana referendum on the ballot in BC, as BC's referendum ballot qualifying laws are very strict (only one proposed Referendum has ever made the  ballot since 1991)

BC and it's not really close.  But that's because the Canadian political spectrum is much more liberal than America's.  If BC was an American state or WA was a Canadian province, they'd probably be about the same politically.
