No, I'm not about to restrict political activities just because I think they are reprehensible. That's a path I don't want to go down. Besides if they are actually that violent, you can always arrest them for... being violent Tongue

I think banning them would make them more popular, no?

Yes, these three parties should definitely be banned. However, it is hard to say at what point parties cross the (thin) line.

In countries without absolute free speech, yes. Along with all totalitarian communist parties.

Not if we permanently remove all those that support them.

All political parties should be banned and power vested in a hereditary monarch (normal).

You could think that, but would you be right? If Jobbik had been been banned in the outset, would the current Hungarian political scene be so noxious?

I'm uncomfortable at the idea of allowing space in our legislatures to the spewers of hate-speech. I understand to the North Americans the issue is more abstract, but we are allowing what are effectively criminal enterprises a platform.

Yes or it would be worse with the precedence of banning parties having been created.

I too is uncomfortable with the idea that people in parliament having difference opinion than me, but the problem with banning people with non-mainstream political view is that you never know when it's your views who's seen as outside the mainstream, and there's no better way to deal with views you disagree with than engage in discussion with them.

Of course I think if it can be proven that a party engage in violence (like Golden Dawn does) they should be banned, but no one should be banned for just being horrible people.

Yes. Opponents of Democracy do not deserve ita protections.

These parties would argue that if you are going to ban parties that oppose democracy, you would start with those who support the usurpation of it by globalism and international institutions such as the EU.

I mean, Fascism is characterized by political repression and banning Fascist speech would be a form of political repression.

Sure, that's exactly the kind of bullsh*t a neonazi would spew.
