Romney defeated Obama 51.9% to 45.6%.
McCain defeated Obama 50.2% to 47.6%.

Dole and Bush also defeated Clinton in 92 and 96.

Having grown up and lived in Orange County all my life, I don't see Hillary beating Rubio at all.

Nope, of course not. Besides Jeb and Marco will be very competitive there. Perhaps Rand too, although I think his tax policies will scare most people off, once they get to know them.

What happens in Orange County will reflect pretty much what is occurring in the rest of the country, there will be issues and concerns that defines the 2016 contest, as there were issues & concerns that impacted the 2012 & 2008 contest before it☺

Obama was the most attractive Democrat for OC in a while and he lost it.  A Republican will win it in 2016.

This. It'll probably still be close, with Republicans winning with 51-52% of the vote, but it will go Republican.

I think if a better GOP candidate wins the nomination I think Orange county will go for the GOP 53-46 or so and they will pickup Riverside county 50-49 or so.

It would probably take a Democrat winning California with 66 percent of the statewide vote to bring in Orange County.

Orange County will break it's Republican streak at some point in the near future, but I don't think 2016 is the year for it.

I wonder if Orange County, CA and Elliot County, KY will break their streaks in the same election.

You think Orange County, California "reflects" the rest of the country?

Meh, maybe...

If Obama won Elliot in 2012 and McCain won Orange in 2008, I wouldn't hold my breath for ANY time soon.

^This. However Hillary is almost certainly a better fit for Orange County than Obama considering she is far stronger amongst Hispanics and Asians as well as soccer mom types.

Well, it's a wealthy, non-Southern, very educated county close to a major city; it's obviously a Democratic stronghold, because Democratic voters are all wealthy cosmopolitans with PhDs! Tongue

Just kidding, but seriously to answer the OP: LOL, no.
