that's funny nick, I mean interesting psychology.  I keep trying to metaphorize like that as well.  seems natural to look for past or present scenarios in the United States.  Yes, I think this is a phenomenon that generally advises spin.  Not just here, but in all countries.  With a few exceptions (Tsunami, genocide) the same story can bring on remarkably different feelings and associations around the world.  Do any of you read Jefferson Morley's piece in the WaPo?  He focuses on this phenomenon quite a bit.

I also think the bottom line is:  Blair looks good.

On the BBC website appeared the first lost seat for the Tories, but I just missed it. Which was it? against who?

I'm very happy so far with the results: Blair is reelected and the Tories advance.
Of course, I know that this will represent serious trouble for Blair internally Sad

oh, sh**t, this guy's not even waiting for tomorrow's papers.  Matthews just came on and he's babbling something along the lines of:  Seems like bush's buddy is in trouble over there.  wind me up baby, and watch me go.

I should dig up the lyrics to that old song, "Dirty Laundry" but I suppose I should spare Al the messiness on his thread.

oh, that jackass Joe Trippi is on there agreeing with him.  Just looking at him fills me with the urge to defacate.  "...they're thinking about immigration right now, and jobs, not Iraq..."  WTF?  who cares?  we have the rest of our lives to analyze.  anyway, the spin tomorrow will be interesting indeed.  I want to read the NYT and the WSJ first, before I look at anything else, to get intelligent and diametrically opposed ideological spins.  Then I'll go to the web.

Bah, I hate Sarah Teather, she is really patronising yet a complete moron.

In other news, Simon Hughes holds his seat with a reduced majority, his vote fell by 9.8% and Labour rose by 2%. Good old Kirsty, I knew she'd cut the margin nicely. Majority is now only 14.2%, formerly 26.1% I believe.

Lewisham West - Jim Dowd's seat, he has a thirty percent majority I believe. I helped the campaign on Sunday.
