The Democratic Party is looking for someone to run for Congress in Nevada's 4th District. http://atr.rollcall.com/steven-horsford-nevada-2016/

The 4th District, created after the 2010 census, is an appealing opportunity for Nevada Democrats. It includes a large strip of Nevada north of Las Vegas, a mixture of urban and rural areas, and is 30 percent Hispanic.

Candidates do not have to live in the district they are running to represent, so the race could draw a wide field of ambitious Democrats from the Las Vegas area who would prefer not to take on Republican Rep. Joe Heck, who has survived stiff challenges.

I say we draft Joe Republic and then use our collective power to help get him elected. We could start a campaign company, "Atlas Campaigns." I can make campaign videos/run social media, Miles can work on precinct maps, Bacon King can help with legal work, MormDem can be a strategist, Bushie can call potential voters, etc.

Unrelated but back when I went to Vegas a few years ago I remember seeing this homeless guy with a sign that read "Umemployed circus clown, send me to Congress where I belong" or something to that effect.

Not any more, I've moved since then so I was updating my registration anyway.  No joke though, it got brought up when I tried to get involved with the Erin Bilbray campaign last year, and they thought I was a Republican plant.  After I explained the truth, and even showed them my write-up about the clustercaucus, I was still about 40% sure they didn't trust or believe me.  Hence why my involvement with the Bilbray campaign didn't get very far.

I've found my campaign manager!

This might be the most bizarre scheme to get a date I've ever heard of.

Nonetheless, another mild headed Atlasian (muon2 being the first) does sound a little enticing as a Congresscritter.

Bacon King has had enough of the Democrats losing in GA and has turned to the dark side.

Endorsed, so long as he promised to get sh-tfaced on the floor and give a speech similar to Sarah Palin's CPAC speech.

I've given it a lot of thought, and I've decided to run in the 2nd district.  I want to keep things old-school and campaign the traditional way, from my doorstep here in Las Vegas.

Oh that sucks. I remember back in early 2014 when Project Veritas was trying to discredit Battleground Texas, every new volunteer came in I was instantly suspicious of them. Don't think I ever actually had a plant at any of my things though. Some of my coworkers did

Joe has a D next to his name, so he should be able to easily beat Cresent Hardy. I support this endeavor.
