Old-school Opebo:

Nothing is required of the average American in the war against terrorism except to vote to re-elect GWBush.  If we have to give up SUVs and other integral aspects of what it is to be American, then what the devil are we fighting for?

Haven't you ever seen The Bobo?!  It is a fine film, starring Peter Sellers (who I resemble somewhat).  That picture is a still from the movie.  Go rent it, it is great.

<Shudder>.  However I still have nothing against SUVs.  I 'learned' to drive in a Grand Wagoneer back in the early 1980's.  Of course I'd been driving jeeps and tractors around the farm for years before.

My post was in jest, as I think was made obvious by the amusing photo!

By the way I really do look quite a bit like a young Peter Sellers..

I know. I was just trying to be amusing as well by calling you an attention whore. Again, all in good fun. Smiley

Opebo in Alternate History[/color]

Of course I'd vote for Ford/Reagan, but the idea of Reagan as Ford's VP is really disturbing.  What a waste that would've been.

Well regardless of ideology, you have to admit it would be a rather bizarre arrangement just in terms of personality and leadership qualities.

good ol opebo  has flip flopped a lot.  but give him credit, he has consistently been a pervert.

IMHO, Opebo has no real beliefs (at least, not the beliefs he espouses on the forum). He likes to play the iconoclast, carefully tailoring his views to offend as many people as possible. I guess he got tired of being an amoral fascist, so he decided to become an amoral socialist.

That's just a theory, of course, but it's the only rational explanation I can think of. If it's true, my opinion of him goes up considerably, as that would mean he doesn't believe the garbage he peddles here. If he does believe what he says, he needs help...

interesting theory -of course, there is always the possibility that Opebo in his heart of hearts is still a die-hard conservative Republican like he was at this time last year.  he may simply be playing the rich, elitist, parent-leeching, ultra-liberal pedophile now -basically fulfilling all the most extreme liberal stereotypes- to make Democrats look bad which would therefore make him nothing more than a particularly articulate troll.  like you, i simply refuse to believe that he really believes all the crap that he is typing here, especially that regarding his pedophilia.  it's all an act.

I have never portrayed myself as a pedophile - others have misrepresented me as such.  As I have stated many times, while I do not share their predelictions, I applaud NAMBLA's fight for freedom.  I'm a political supporter of the freedom of pedophiles, though I do not feel any similar attractions myself.  Purely post-pubescents for me, thanks.

And I do believe everything I type.

Your gung ho support for NAMBLA isn't the only reason we know you're a pedophile. Things like you googling "thirteen year old" and your wish to lower the age of consent below ten are others.

Well certainly any honest male would admit that girls who have passed through puberty are attractive, regardless of the legal age of consent.  There is no great physical difference between 16 and 18.  But I am for doing away with age-of-consent laws because I don't see any need for State intervention in these private relationships.  It has nothing to do with my predelictions, and everything to do with my priortizing of freedom, particularly sexual freedom.

I don't see anything wrong with our current consent laws. A lot of 18, 19, and 20 year old women don't seem very mature, let alone ones under 18. Of course, I'm thinking mature mentally and Opebo is thinking mature physically.

Correct jfern.  I don't find mental maturity to be a fair criteria to be applied to any American. Wink

opebo is thinking he wants to screw them, no matter the age.

As I stated in my above post - puberty, or physical maturity, would be a definite requirement for that sort of interest on my part.  So yes, the age matters.  I just don't object to others doing differently.

FRESH QUOTE!

I would be more likely to vote with my party if they ran a NAMBLA member.

My new favorite opebo quote.

Final note - one has to bash Carter!  The man is the most shameful ex-president ever, and that's saying something with Clinton still on the loose.

Jake, why exactly is Opebo a pedophile again?  He's said more times than I would care to mention that he supports their cause without actually being one.

I support equal rights for gay people, but I'm not gay.  But would you say I am?
