Wings and ribs - I don't like eating anything that requires me to dirty my hands (I'll tolerate heavily-seasoned french fries), and they have so little meat on them that it just seems like more effort than it's worth.

Grits - I will eat oatmeal for breakfast, thank you very much.

Cole slaw, potato salad, veggie burgers, a lot of Mexican food
Regular potato salad is gross...loaded with mayonnaise and mustard and eggs.  Ick.

Proper potato salad is onions, celery, crispy bacon, oil, and vinegar with some mustard powder, celery salt, and pepper.  Use some bacon grease in place of some of the oil for a smoky, umami filled potato salad that goes so well with any summer meat dish.  If you're good and Minnesotan you also use lots of fresh dill.

Cole slaw is the same thing.  It shouldn't be creamy...but slightly sweet, slightly sour, and with plenty of cool crunch.

Cucumber salad with cream is amazing though.

@Vosem: In the case of apples, the flavor is just wrong. In the case of oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit, and bananas it's the texture...and everything else under fruit is both

Except blackberries and dates, those are awesome!

It's funny 'cuz I love extreme flavors in general (sweet, sour, spicy, meaty...)

I also dislike zucchini, sprouted breads, devil's food cake, sushi, coffee [don't drink for religious reasons, but I dislike the smell], finely sliced onions, pizza with too much tomato sauce, plain tomatoes, and macaroni salad.

To be fair, I can't stand bananas, but fruit is just such a large and basic food group that is really necessary to a balanced diet and is inexpensive and easily attainable in the US...having problems with individual fruits makes sense, everyone's like that, but people who're just writing the group off are killing their health for no good reason.

I just went upstairs and had two oranges for a late-night snack Smiley

Atlas no doubt has a contingent of people who really only like cheese pizza and plain cheeseburgers.

But they wouldn't admit it on here.  People are very self righteous about their food choices and so people with perceived "bad taste" get it from all sides.

I don't like strong cheeses like goat cheese.  I don't like thick creamy sauces.  Kale can burn in hell.

Wrong!  With most food, it's a matter of taste.  But, not liking coffee means you're either yellow (yeller) or a communist fellow traveler.

Oh, helllllll no!

You so crazy.  You need to try real szechuan food, some dandan noodles, hotpot, and smoky chili chicken or lamb or Cantonese food.  Good Chinese cuisine is right up there with french food in terms of gustatory delight.  If anyone here has never had actual Chinese food, go to a real city and try it.  You won't be disappointed.  Or, just ask a Jew.  A lot of goys don't like Chinese food because they've never learned how to order a meal or enjoy food properly.

Icing generally falls into that category for me.  Now, I don't mean modest layers of icing intended to provide a little sweetness and to cover up the inevitable imperfections of a home made cake.  What I mean are the huge drifts of icing that you typically find on cupcakes and the like.  Desert is intended to be an complement to the main meal, not a means of inducing diabetic comas.

I despise them. I like sweet potato fries, though, for whatever reason.

Also popcorn. I don't like it.

The only foods I really can't stand are blue cheese and licorice. I'll eat basically everything else.

Will you eat olives? Because my friends and I have a theory that if you like blue cheese, you like olives, and if you hate blue cheese, you also hate olives.

Theory has not been confirmed or denied by a Google search.

Nah, I like most olives. I'm a real big fan of the black ones, I can just eat those plain as a snack. The green ones are kind of weird and I wouldn't go out of my way to eat them, but if someone serves them to me I'll eat it. But blue cheese makes me gag.

The only act of culinary blasphemy I've made is an absolute abhorrence of Grits.  That's one of the few foods with which I have a particularly strong negative opinion.

Wrong.  Olives are devilspawn... But blue cheese is incredible.  I can eat blue cheese crumbles plain out of the package.

I cringed reading this. I'm definitely in the anti-olive, anti-blue cheese camp.

Bacon. I also don't drink, so I guess I'd also say any alcoholic drink.

Blue cheese, mustard, cottage cheese, watercress, and cauliflower are the culinary inventions of Satan. Also, my parents occasionally cook the leaves of hierba mora and it's absolutely horrid.
