That would fit in with Larry King's tweet from a few days ago.

This is how I would rank the likelihood of the Republican contenders to win the nomination

Top Tier
1.Mitt Romney
2.Jeb Bush
3.Scott Walker
4.Rand Paul
5.John Kasich
6.Ted Cruz
7.Mike Huckabee
8.Chris Christie
9.Ben Carson

and the rest... can stay on Gilligan's Island (in alphabetical order of their home state)
1.Carly Fiorina
2.Marco Rubio
3.Rick Scott
4.Bobby Jindal
5.John Bolten
6.Bob Erhlich
7.Rick Snyder
8.George Pataki
9.Rick Santorum
10.Lindsey Graham
11.Rick Perry
12.James Gilmore

Joke I just come up with that is unfortunately now dated.

The film Captain America: The Winter Soldier is proof of how poorly the American economy was performing in the summer of 2014 that even a super hero could only find seasonal work.

He's running level with her according to the most recent poll...not that he has a good chance of beating her, but it's hardly going to increase her chances.

1.It's a Fox (Faux) News poll so it should be taken with a grain of salt. Other recent polls show Hillary Clinton defeating all potential Republican candidates by at least 10% though I don't recall if Mitt Romney was polled.

2.To the degree that Romney may have genuinely improved his standing, it would likely have just been the effect of the largely positive press he has received since stating he was interested in running again.

It says:

"Announce his intention to explore a run…"

I think we need to torture that sentence some more.

Peter King's strategy of not building a campaign infrastructure, and instead letting his opponents tire themselves out(?):

Peter King is running after all, it appears. I was beginning to think he was out.

Really?  When I read someone say that they're lying low and "letting the others tire themselves out", hoping that the right people drop out of the race so that he can inherit their donors…that doesn't sound like someone who's all that committed to running.  That sounds more like someone who would only run if a particular set of circumstances arises.

Pataki is the only minor candidate who actually can be a dark horse, in my opinion.

To be clear, he already announced that, about a week and a half ago, as reported in this thread:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=204564.msg4461707#msg4461707

He also has a 501c4, which was created in October:
