Assuming Yougov is as bad as I think it is, and that Bridgeport stays in CT:

Foley and Malloy. McKinney is a moderate, but probably still a worse candidate than Foley due to name recognition and fundraising.

Although it'd be closer with Foley.

^ I think this is going to be the closest race of the cycle if Foley is renominated.

I'm just hoping voters come home to Malloy for 1.

Okay, seriously. Will none of you budge to the idea of Foley winning? That poll, though likely trash, showed that he had the momentum. It will not be a landslide, but come on. 2 leads, 2 ties. The advantage is obvious.

I'm personally more worried about the Malloy internal that had him as tied. Now I've gone from "confident" to "hoping".

Foley clearly has the momentum here

I don't think anyone should be worried about Malloy losing. He is a horrible governor. His ideas may seem nice to outsiders on paper, but to actual residents who have bore the blunt of them, they're awful. I do not care about it politically, as most who want him to win do. This man has to go because he is incompetent. I'm saying the same with Corbett, and I'll say it with Malloy.

Disclaimer:  I'm actively volunteering for McKinney.

I think Foley will lose to Malloy, but I really think McKinney could beat Malloy.  He is a more moderate Republican, but conservative in areas where Republicans are angry with Malloy (save gun control, which will cost him *some* votes, but IDK that it'll be enough to prevent victory).  Malloy's team has been pretty concerned about McKinney and friends I know who work for Malloy have voiced more concern agains McKinney than against Malloy.  Personally, McKinney is my horse, and I won't support Foley against Malloy.

Foley has a ton of baggage and his only political achievement is an appointment as Ambassador to Ireland that was given to him b/c he gave Bush a lot of money.  He's not electable, as far as I'm concerned.

As for the primary, momentum has been shifting to McKinney, but, unfortunately, I don't think it will be enough.

Malloy's team would probably be overjoyed by a McKinnney victory in the primary, Foley's the only Republican who could beat Mallloy. I agree the McKinney is a better candidate, but just isn't as electable as Foley for likeability reasons. This is probably compareable to Obama's team hoping that Santorum would beat Romney in 2012 (unlikely, but great for Democrats).

This is just your bias talking. I would support whoever goes against Malloy. He NEEDS to be stopped.

Wow. This is definitely a game changer and potentially a reason to reevaluate my endorsement of Foley. What kind of jerk tells hard working voters that they have failed?

Did "you didn't build that" mortally wound Obama? No. This is the same silly season grasping for straws

Did "you didn't build that" mortally wound Obama?

Because voters are smart enough to not believe the Republican spin on that quote.

And when people find this quote, they'll realize Foley was inciting personal responsibility for ones actions, not directly insulting people.

Yeah. PERSONAL. RESPONSIBILITY. Yes it's harsh, but he's not sugar coating it.

People don't lay themselves off. The idea that any degree of 'personal responsibility' on the workers' parts could have averted this or that it constitutes their failure in any meaningful way is insane.

...because an anti-business quote spun by Republicans is comparable to telling workers it's their fault they can't find a job.
