FI. It has no downsides, and makes students identifiable.

Good idea, provided the costs are covered by the school for poor kids.

Generally oppose, but it's not an issue I feel strongly about.

I feel the same way about uniforms as I do with mandatory voting - not something I feel strongly about, it's kinda what I'm used to (and don't mind it) so I'm not gonna waste time changing it but would probably oppose it if I was in America.

No thanks. The only possible upside is if it's the same as a Catholic school girl uniform for the ladies. Tongue

Neutral.  I can see how they might be beneficial, but not something I'd want.

Horrendous.

It has no downsides, and makes students identifiable.

Doesn't it do EXACTLY the opposite?

Only if the uniform is gender-neutral.

HI. I wouldn't have liked wearing a uniform so why should I force today's kids to?

What would you all say to school uniforms in a dangerous neighborhood?  In that type of situation you might want high school students wearing a uniform so you can tell if they're strapped.

Those skirts, though.

Largely opinionless. They were awful, but they were part of life. Thus, while I don't like them at all, it's not something I think about or particularly question.

Strongly oppose, but it's not something I would base my vote on.  When did this forum become so authoritarian, though?

Me thinks it's a reaction to that rando from Kentucky that hates said uniforms.

Don't really care, lean oppose. I think schools should be allowed to set their own dress code policies.

Only if the uniform is gender-neutral.
lol...as if there's something wrong with girls wearing skirts...

It's more of a matter of avoiding enforced gender dressing restrictions. It doesn't matter whether it's skirt or pants.
