With the gift of hindsight of all that happened after November 1960, if you had the chance to go back in time and vote in the 1960 Presidential Election, who would you vote for? Vice President Richard M. Nixon and his running mate, Henry Cabot Lodge, or for Senator John F. Kennedy and his running mate, Lyndon Baines Jobnson?

Easily Kennedy.  Nixon would have carried out the Vietnam War far more brutally than Johnson had he been elected in '60, assuming he wouldn't have gotten the entire world blown up first.  Not to mention his apathy on civil rights (which far outmatched that of Kennedy in his early Presidency), and of course, he wouldn't have carried out the Great Society.

Nixon/Lodge easily.

But I'd probably vote for "unpledged electors"

Having Nixon elected as President in 1960 would have been very interesting in my opinion and is one of my favorite alternate history scenerios.

JFK although Nixon would have been better on foreign policy (no perception of "inexperience" to cause the Cuban Missile Crisis and he may have decided against overthrowing Diem too).

Nixon, with or without hindsight.

Although I think Kennedy was a pretty decent president.

I hope the people voting for Nixon are summarily banned.

Nixon to prevent Kennedy's assassination.

Nixon might have been assassinated in November of '63 as well.

Nixon. Nixon was much less bad in 1960, and losing the election is part of what made him the corrupt, dishonest, and evil man he was in 1968. Besides, I don't think Kennedy was healthy enough even if he did win. He probably would have died of natural causes before finishing his presidency.
