This had nothing to do with me being as harsh as I wanted.  I did something I didn't intend to do.  Thank God you're perfect and never make mistakes.

It's not even about that. Our concern is the irreversible harm you've inflicted with your "mistake".

I caused somebody to not be able to post on a website for 18 hours... OH THE HUMANITY!  Seriously, do you guy actually believe the crap you say?  You're acting like I've caused some great travesty.  As for putting "mistake" in quotes, if it was on purpose, why would I have told the forum?  I could've easily gotten away with not disclosing it at all, ignoring the headache caused by all you trolls.
If you shortchanged a customer a dollar and I, as your boss, brought it up... and you responded as you have here with "WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL... ooooooh *hands waving* I shortchanged a customer a WHOLE DOLLAR"

I'd tell you to get the f**k out of the building and not come back.

You're not my "boss"; Dave is.  If Dave PMed me and chewed me out, I'd let him.  You can tell me to get the f**ck off the forum, but you really can't enforce that, can you?  Once again, your analogy is not only illogical but shows that you take this whole place way too seriously.

a loophole that affects, mainly only him and a couple of others

Who are the others? Everyone on the List? I'm worried about opebo and Gramps if so.

For what it is worth, despite everything, I have sort of a marsupial attitude about those guys. But in the end, everyone is subject to the rules, me, Inks, Nym ... everyone. There are no exceptions. And yes, sometimes the rules are stretched a bit when it comes to punishment (but not bent out of shape), for those who add "value" to the Forum. It is a balancing test.

I take it too seriously?  Look in the mirror, paco.

I can't make you do anything and I am clearly below you on this little hierarchy of ours.  But I can dislike you more and more and more all the time until I just resent you and actually really wish you would just leave.  Which makes me sad.

I wish I could change that, but as I feel that your increasing dislike for me is based on some pretty irrational logic, there's not much I can do to change that.  And as this is only an Internet forum, in the grand scheme of things, that's not going to make me lose any sleep at night.

It means they've infracted him to the line... but won't carry him over because if they did, what has happened today would happen.

If the mods had been a parliamentary government, they'd have lost a no-confidence motion ages ago.

No, that's not what it means at at all.  It's a software thing where if someone goes on mod review, but doesn't fall below some threshold (I don't know what it is), and they go back above the mod review threshold, they aren't put back on mod review.  It has nothing to do with any conscious action taken by the mods.  It's a software thing.

Well the people's want is obvious.

Alas he probably won't even be muted for 18 hours and will get off completely scot free.

Moderators have a power known as "extraordinary rendition" where we can unilaterally transfer an account's data to a server located abroad so the Terms of Service either doesn't apply or is unenforceable. We can then keep an account on moderator review indefinitely without any public oversight

He should have resigned months ago. Unfortunately, even if he does resign, he'll only be replaced with another one of Torie's apparatchiks. Sad

I'm not coming up with excuses. I'm explaining what happened (pehaps you'd have preferred me not to notify the forum at all?). I fully acknowledge I shouldn't have given Mecha 50 points and never intended to do so. Bushie intended to eat burgers and watch porn with his parents' money. The two are not alike

Snowguy, what's ironic is that you've now made 2 mistakes in recent weeks while opining about a subject you know nothing about. And you haven't even acknowledged this mistake and we're reluctant to last time. I acknowledged mine immediately. You're going around misleading users about mod policies because you don't investigate before you post. But while people will continue to criticize me, your mistakes will go largely unnoticed and virtually completely uncriticized by the people now criticizing me for this mistake.

You infracted Mecha which resulted in muting him.  The "mistake" was intentional from the start.  You just realized after muting him that it looked bad, so you called it a "mistake" and are trying to peddle it as such.

You, in fact, have done exactly what I accused you guys of doing:  Pushed him to the line and then pulled back.  AND you think you deserve a thank you for being so helpful by notifying us.  As if we wouldn't have found out from Mecha anyway.

So I'd say my investigation was fruitful.

As for all the "criticisms" lobbed at you:  Keep deluding yourself.  Keep saying that everybody else are the irrational ones.  You're not moderator material.  You should never have been made one.  Whoever decided to make you one made a big mistake.  That you haven't resigned and continue to be obstinate speaks to the flaws and thinking errors in your personality.

Now do what you do:  Go around deleting posts and threads and infracting people as a way to exact revenge for all the "undeserved" criticism you're getting.
