My last name is Nyman, and Nym was my nickname from high school. It's pronounced with a long I sound, by the way, for any who may have wondered.

The 90 is just random; I thought it sounded good with Nym, the alliteration and all.
I thought it was "myn" backwords, you know, to piss off radical feminists Smiley

Anyway, my given name is really "Blue K. Rectangle".  The family changed the name from Gomez to Rectangle when they came over from the old country because they thought Rectangle sounded more all-American.

I'm sure thats it. Smiley

Nothing.  I got AOL back in late 97 when  I was 15 came up with this name as my screen name (don't know why, just thought of it) and stuck with it

Just plain James was taken, so I added a 42 - the answer to the ultimate question about life, the universe, and everything.

Max Power is my name. Reese is  the Welsh 25% of me, Casey is  the Irish 50% of me, and Penco (not in my name) is the 25% Slovenian in me.

The Ak in my name is the abbreviation of my home state. Smiley The Saber part is from a class of Federation starship. (Yes I'm a HUGE Star Trek fan!) Cheesy Wink

Mine is pretty self-explanatory.

Plan on writing a biography of that great man when I retire.

Of course, this is coming from the same person who thought nomorelies was no mo' re-lies.  Took me over a month to figure it out.

Hah, no. My friends thought it was hilarious in high school when Fox started using the NYM abbreviation for the Mets, however.

Anyhow, my username is quite self-explanatory.

Your governor is pretty attractive, for a Democrat.Smiley

Compared to Governor Ruth Ann Minner of Delaware, any female governor is attractive.

My god, she's ugly.

I mean.....jeez.

Anyway, you may continue the thread.

Maybe I am the only one to think of this, but slap a mustache on her and *poof*...............it's Stalin.

My name came from the Mexican Constitution of 1824. The defenders of the Alamo supposedly flew a Mexican flag with "1824" written on it instead of the Eagle as a message of defiance towards Santa Anna. It is a symble of Texas Independence. Oh, and TX is obviously Texas.

Immy is the nickname I got on another board where my name was Imrahil, a character in Return of the King (who sadly did not make it to the movie).  He's my favorite character and it was a Lord of the Rings Board.

Angus McCloud is the pseudonym under which I generally order pizzas, chinese food, or use when I have to wait for a table at a restaurant. The real Angus McCloud was a colleague of mine with whom I'd often discussed politics. He was a plutocrat. And a fun guy to hang around. This was back when I was pretty hard leftist, Massachusetts Revolutionary Worker's Party member and reader of all sorts of leftist rags. We'd discuss issues over single-malt scotch back in the day. Angus died a mysterious death in his home a few years ago. When I became a republican I decided to honor him by taking his name. For ordering food, it replaced my former pseudonym, Haywood Jablomi, and later I began using it for posting on political websites.

If that's true, it's pretty moving. Otherwise you're good at spinning a yarn and i'm really gullible.

My name comes from my first name and *censored*

Haywood Jablomi is a cool name too. Is there a story behind that name as well?
