I also like that as a game it actually encourages church attendance. Churches are usually portals, so just claim your's, slap some multi-hack mods on, and then hack away during the service. Of course if you go to a Catholic or "high" church most people probably wouldn't approve but hey, I get to play video games at church now too!

What's quite awkward is watching a movie in a theater that's a portal. I usually try to position my phone in my pocket so I can hit the hack button without taking it out.

What I'm saying is that your church is in that respect unlike even most Low Church churches, such that 'Catholic or High Church/Church that works like BRTD's' really isn't a valid or useful dichotomy.

I hack so fast that I usually burn it out (max hacks reached, can't hack again for four hours) by the time whoever's preaching is still telling funny stories about their kids or talking about how they got so depressed when their favorite baseball team lost a certain game or things like that. Or I do it when I have my phone up anyway because I'm following along with the focused Bible selection on my Bible app. I once hacked a very rare and hard to get item right after the pastor talked about how his daughter will often come up to him and ask him to pray with her to catch a certain Pokemon and was thinking "haha, so appropriate, thanks God!"

I do know one of our leaders is actually a church musician and he's on the game all the time at church when he's not playing (and has posted things in our chat like "Oh [inks], this certain Enlightened is attacking these portals while I'm at church, can anyone else go counter them now?") This is the same guy and his wife who have in the past picked up their 2-year old at 2AM, strapped him into a car seat and put him in the back of their car so they can go drive around and chase enemy agents in their neighborhood if they're under attack, so make of that what you will.
