As a matter of fact, I want to amend the constitution to change the names back to the originals. Fun as it may be to have different names, it serves no real purpose and it creates confusion.

Ilikeverin is going too far by limiting freedom of speech. I don't care whether or not it's Wonderment or Montana, just as long as I have the right to say both.

Why don't we accept a New Zealand model, where both names are legal and fine?

Because this is an Atlasian tradition that stretches back years, so to see a legion of new members run in and try to break it is revolting.

Lol to hear a socialist who supports regional reform, free marijuana, and putting cat pictures in the wiki  talk about the importance of "tradition."

Are you disputing the fact that this is an Atlasian tradition that stretches back years simply because the person who said it has spent barely a year here? How about asking any of the veterans?

I'd say that pointing out someone's lack of time here is rather hypocritical when they've been here only a few months longer.

Also as has been pointed out ilikeverin is the longest continually registered member of Atlasia, and he's the one who people started arguing against.

I'm not the one arguing from tradition. Merely questioning your authority to speak to years of Atlasian tradition. If it's Verin's fight then it's Verin's fight.

As far as the Census Bureau is concerned, the Midwest is composed of ten states: Kansas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Colorado, Iowa, Wyoming, Minnesota and Nebraska. Aside from that, you're welcome to call the states whatever you want. Name them after professional wrestlers for all I care.

Why even have states? I say we name them what we want.

No, that's Lewis!  I was mistaken.  I thought his registration had lapsed at some point.  However, I am the member longest continuously registered in the Midwest.

IIRC, the Midwest has had loony state names since sometime around 2009.

Free marijuana, pointless discussions about "regional reform", and using cute animal pictures for political purposes are Atlasian traditions.

And this Atlasian tradition has also allowed both names at no penalty. So let's use the tradition argument for that guys! Also, you're not even in the Midwest, so I would prefer if you backed off of Midwest affairs thank you.

Either way, I probably wouldn't go after the names if I was Governor again, only because of the history that they have. I would not punish others for doing otherwise.
