Japanese 18th Century literature might be better, that way at least Nathan will post in it.

More like tenth through fifteenth and late nineteenth through early twentieth, unless we're talking poetry or kaidan.

I dunno 19th sentury French literature is quite a broad topic, might be interesting for a secondary story-line. Maybe Bushie could start reading a lot of Huysmans and post his reflections on A Rebours or Là-bas? That would be rather interesting.

That would be interesting.

Maybe I could change the story line.  It generates 500 posts a week or so, 450 of those at least are diet related.  If my viewers will let me, I could try to change the story line that doesn't generate 90% of the Update.

Stop.

Well, it makes sense. Its a lot easier to change the story line than changing his life.

The fact that he views this all as "seasons" with "story-lines" is slightly disturbing and shows he just doesn't get it but that's not news I suppose.

He gets it.  You boobs don't, but he does.

Kemp and I are hardly on the same page here (see the bolded part), so there is no need to include me.

Father's Day dinner is over.  Now, we're settling into an early Father's Day evening and about ready to indulge in another Father's Day tradition - a nap.  Oh wait, that's nearly every day!

Does this include that I am a Cat book?

(Sorry, ignorant of Japanese literature to an extremely high extent. Really the only names I know are Kwabata, Oe, Mishima, and Basho. Oh, and Murakami.)

Nap is over for the day and now it's time to settle into a Father's Day evening.  I've only got 3 more evenings that I can really enjoy a quiet evening before I leave.  Wednesday evening will be filled with last minute packing, church, ECHO, and trying to get to bed early.

Can I also add that Update is now generating ~500 posts a week(?!?)?  Since Dave doesn't want us to keep threads going longer than ~2000 posts anymore, we now face the prospect of a new Update season every month.  Or is the new pace of posting a fluke?  I really don't know how it suddenly got so active.

I was just thinking about that the other day.  Is there anything we can do to kind of slow it down a bit short of locking it?

Yes, you could stop posting.

Un-shun.

At least now he's admitted that he embellishes what he writes to make the proper "story line".  It's a fictional tale, folks!

Re-shun.

Looks like this is the closest Bushie will ever come to eating fruits and vegetables.

I can do ham and bacon quite well!  Same with pork chops. Tongue

Oh, and I'll have chicken at every lunch and dinner while I'm in Kenya.

Inks should stop reading Update once for every day that Bushie walks.  By working together, they can strengthen their collective self control.

Do yourself a favor.  Don't try to make sense of this thread.  It will save many gray hairs!

Plus, Xahar, my friend, when there's a wreck on the side of the road what do most people do?  They slow down to get a better look.  Think of the Update as a wreck (many on here have classified this is as such), and the viewers as the spectators.  Its hard to turn away!  Some people have successfully turned their attention away from the wreck (i.e. Torie), others are not so fortunate, especially as more cars become involved in the wreck over a 4+ year span!

Bushie?

Hey Bushie - you've mentioned that in Kenya you are supposedly going to be eating lentils and stuff like that, right?

So when you're over there, ask to volunteer in the kitchen. Learn how to make these foods. And then keep making them when you are back home.
