Especially since they live in a mobile home. I don't know many who are well off living in mobile homes. I don't know anyone living in mobile homes period, but what's beside the point.

Yeah, for as much as he "knows" about severe weather, it's pretty odd that he was willing to defraud his parents for porn for years (among the other ways that he's defrauded them).  With all he's scammed out of them, who knows, they might be able to live somewhere that's not a death trap during severe storms.

They've been living in a mobile home since 1981.  They would rather be living in a regular house, and maybe moving into Grandma's house whenever she passes.  Them being able to afford a regular house has no bearing on me.

Grumps, I checked the nutrition labels for both the Manwich Sloppy Joe Mix plus the Wheat Buns plus one handful of chips and I can get out of this meal with only ~700 calories, that's with 3 sandwiches.  That would put me at 1200-1300 calories on the day.

Feel free to be delusional all you want.  You used up the dietician's daily limit on dinner.

I checked the nutrition labels and it was probably a little over 1,000 calories all told, but I still ended the day below my 2,000 goal.  I ended up around 1,800.  I'm tracking it on another app that tracks my calories.

Those apps are fine but at least don't lie to yourself about your portion sizes. You don't eat a 'cup' of anything....or a 'serving' of anything.....you eat several, easy.

I had about 1/4 cup (the recommended serving size) of sloppy joe mix on each sandwich.  So, we'll say I had 1 1/4 cup of mix to account for any error in measuring as I did, stupidly, indulge in a 4th sandwich to clean up the rest of the meat.  The mix itself was 35 calories per serving which is 175 calories.  The ground beef probably added another 300, so I'll say 500 total there, then each bun was 120 calories.  4 buns is 480 so that's 1,000.  Add in a serving size of chips (15 chips) which is 160 calories per serving, and I ended up with between 1,150 and 1,250 again accounting for any errors that were made.  I had a Diet Dr Pepper to drink so that is 0 calories.  Add that to the 550 calories I had at breakfast and I ended up in the vicinity of 1,800.

However, I weighed this morning, and I am sitting at 269.6.  5 1/2 pounds under where I was at the peak.

Here are my plans for this Friday.

I've got several errands to run today.

I'll leave here about 10:45 to pick up my medicine in Shawnee.
I'll get there by 11:15.  I'll leave there by 11:20 to go back to Midwest City to get my haircut.  Should be there by 11:55.  I should be out of there by 12:40 depending on how long I have to wait.  At 12:40, I will grab lunch, probably Subway.  At 13:15, I've got to go by the ATM and get some money out to pay a bill.  That will take me until 13:45 when I'll head to the Choctaw Creek Park and walk for 30 minutes.  That will likely take me until 14:30 so I should be home by 14:45.  I'm going to vacuum the carpet from 15:00-15:30, hop in the shower 15:30, watch the news and fill up my pill box for the week of May 26-June 1 at 16:00.  We're leaving at 16:30 for dinner (Mexican), and then I'll head to my cousins after that, probably 18:30-19:00 and get the kids to bed and spend the night.  We'll go to the zoo tomorrow from 09:30 to probably 13:30 and then I'll come home briefly, get my laptop for the Power Point Sunday and then eat dinner with my cousin, go get the kid's father at 21:00, stay another night with them, go to church Sunday morning as usual and then finally come home after church Sunday afternoon.

I may not post a whole lot in the next 50-52 hours or so, as I'll just have my phone with me.

One thing I will say about Mexican food.  I know it's an unhealthy dinner, but from personal experience countless times, I actually LOSE weight from Mexican food because of the beans that go along with it.  I won't weigh again until Monday Morning.

Utter offensive drivel as always Inks (and no better than most commenters on this thread):

In fact he has merely eked out the barest necessities of life from his parents, not any great amount of money which could by any stretch of the imagine lead to paying for a house.

If you guys want to badger and criticize BushOK, please try to keep it realistic.  All this fantastic gobbledigook you spew just makes you seem manic rather than offering a real critique.

Applying this to his food intake - it sounds as if he's eating much less than previously and certainly far less than I do for one (and I'll wager no more than most of you do).

Unless they're White Castle sized, your calorie count per sandwich is crazy low. I'd ballpark each sandwich at 600 calories or so. Just a typical bun has about 250 or so. If you're not serious about eating better, whatever, it's your life. But you're not fooling anybody. 4 sloppy joes! Jesus Tapdancing Christ!

Whatever the count, I did manage to drop to 269.  6 lbs off the peak.

Four sandwiches's worth of ground beef alone is like 800-1000. Even if Bushie used very lean ground beef, that's still over 600. Four buns is 480 calories. Four servings of sloppy joe mix is about 150. Plus 160 calories of chips. His dinner was at the very least 1400 calories and probably closer to 1700 or 1800.

Even if he had eaten only 1200 calories, sloppy joes are basically just unrefined carbs, sugary sauce, and fatty meat. And more fat and processed carbs in the potato chips. This is not a healthy diet. At all.

It is hilarious that everyone thinks that because I had 3 hot dogs 4 sloppy joes with chips last night that I threw everything I was told earlier in the day out the window for good.  That is absolutely hilarious.  We've got a lot of comedians here. Smiley

Do you fellows pretend that you eat the equivalent of less than 4 sloppy joes for a normal dinner?  Or that such a diet is normal for adult males?

I just had dinner with four other gentlemen, three whites and one Asian, between the ages of 31 and 54, none of whom are as fat as me and I'm merely slightly overweight, and we all ate quite a generous sufficiency:  We each had one plate of rice with a spicy stir fry of either beef or chicken with herbs/peppers/veg on it, accompanied by a large shared sea-food/mushroom soup (a kind of spicy tom-yum) in the middle of the table and an enormous omelet with minced pork inside.  Some even had extra rice from a plate so provided, though I did not (not a fan of carbs).

This is just a normal dinner for us, and it seems to me it is probably at least the equivalent of four little sloppy joes.

That's a good sized meal Opie, but you probably still ingested far less fat and sugar than Bushie did.

Forgot to mention 3 of us had Cokes, (the other two only water)... and we also had cappuccinos with a very small amount of Thai sweet later at a coffee shop.

I'd say not eating four sloppy joes in one sitting is pretty "normal."

Oh I guarantee Bushie did too.

And you probably burn more cals in one night at the brothel than Bushie does in a week.

I read the nutrition labels on each item.  I know how many calories I had.

Anyway, does it really matter at this point?  I still lost 2 pounds as a result of the 4 sloppy joes.  I guess if I had starved myself by having just one tiny sandwich, I could have lost 3-4 pounds.  There is absolutely no use or no reason to keep bashing me over the head for a dinner choice when I actually benefited from it.  Unless, of course, you want to attack for the sake of attacking, which is mostly what this is all about.

Forget it.  You'll never convince him.  He's going to lose weight gorging on Mexican tonight because the beans make him sh**t a lot.  Get with it, Mr. Kemp.

This does make me feel better.

I tend to feel guilty indulging on a big slice of pizza or getting one burger.

If 5'7" Bushie needs to be slamming down 4 sloppy joes a night to be in his condition, I guess I'll always be okay.

Probably 3.  I only had the 4th one last night to clean up the rest of the meat.  I generally stop at 3.
