I was wondering, since some of the most vocal liberals are always attacking it, what is your opinion of Fox News?  I personally prefer it over all others.

The only thing I like is Special Report and that business guy. All the rest is just political hackery.

Great intellectual honesty, Philip!

FOX is nothing but obvious propaganda.

It's okay I suppose as long as you don't treat it as if it were a legitimate source of news.

I like Special Report too.  This may be a stupid question, but what party does Brit Hume belong to?  I can never get a feel for the guy.  He never really takes sides.

I don't like Fox and not just because I feel that they are pushing a political agenda.  I find all of their splash screens, various tones, and general "over production" to be annoying.  I mean really ... did the break up of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston really justify a "Fox News Alert".  The way they treated it I thought I was about to hear about a terrorist attack.

You need to get a grib and dictionary.  You have no clue what fascist means.  I lived in a fascist state.  Fox isn't fascist.

It depends on the show. I overall like it, but some of the graphics stuff is cheesy, and I honestly am not a fan of much TV news period. I do get my news from Foxnews.com, though. There, and blogs (my mother's cousin, Paul Mirengoff, is one of the bloggers at Powerline).

I'd imagine he is a libertarian/conservative type guy.  When he is on Fox News Sunday talking about economic issues, he is conservative.

Fox News is good. I usually watch Special Report, O' Reilly, and Hannity and Colmes on weekdays and Fox News Sunday and the buisiness stuff on the weekends.  Also, Fox has the best looking women on cable news.

It's hard to explain why I don't like Fox. It's a bit too aggressive, I suppose, if that makes sense.

I just find CNN sort of uninteresting, but when I watch Fox, I always get the feeling of being overwhelmed with unnecessary sensory input.

I always watch MSNBC at night. It's better than warm milk.

You had me up until you mentioned you like MSNBC.

I like Fox generally.  Brit Hume is, by a wide margin, the best anchorman on TV.  Politicians love to be interviewed by him because he always gives a fair treatment and lets you finish speaking unless you are wasting air time.

Shep Smith is a bit of a buffoon, but nobody on this planet loves their job more than him.

Hannity & Colmes is better when Ollie North fills in for Sean.

O'Reilley is great.  He is a pompous ass to everyone!  No bias here, just entertaining TV that sometimes manages to be informative.

Greta no longer deserves her own show.

Cavuto is pretty smart, if a bit too optomistic.

John Gibson is terrible.  The exact opposite of what Brit Hume is.

Newswatch is the best thing on any cable news channel.

Finally, Tony Snow is my favorite.  Good interviewer, tries to keep his views out of the news, good analysis and, most importantly, he read a letter from me on the air last Easter.

I watch FOX from 8-10 PM to remind myself of why I'm a Democrat. That's it's only use to me. Watch Outfoxed, it's very good.

I don't like the way they present their news. I'm more of a low-key guy. That's why I like CBS for football (least drama out of any of the broadcasters) and CNN for news. CNN needs new hosts. They have great new, but Paula Zhan does not deserve a prime-time slot.

I watch Special Report and Cavuto when they rerun at midnight and 1 AM.  I usually don't watch much else of it anymore.

I used to watch O'Reilly and Hannity, but they just get old if you watch everynight.  Hannity is boring.  He says the same stuff over and over again.

My family watches it in the morning, but I find it annoying in the morning.  O Reilley and Hannity and Colmes are pretty good.  I really don't like to watch the news.

Overall, I like Fox News.  I don't watch it exclusively, but I like it better than the other news channels.

Some of the shows are too focused toward entertainment and sensational crimes, like the Greta Van Susteren show.

But I think it's very important to provide an alternative to the liberal monopoly on the news that existed for so long.

Too loud and annoying for my tastes.

I prefer MSNBC, just out of personal preference (not that it's any better on content).

Not that I watch TV anymore.  Although the cable is working again...
