I meant what happened with WI's Leg, not the Senate race - albeit sans McCrory recall, obviously.

On that note, any chance Democrats go the Walker route and recall Mcrory? Would there be any standing to do so?

Too bad that's grossly illegal as North Carolina has no law authorizing recalls.
I'm by no means encouraging it. I was against the Walker Recall, and I'd be against this one too.

Plus we all know what happened last time we tried to recall a governor who went full conservative. I'll gladly pass.

Next week, Cassidy will be having a town hall at Clearview mall in Metairie; thats usually where I go see movies with my friends. He'll probably be preaching to the choir, though, as Metairie is already heavily Republican, but these are the types of places outside of his district where he needs to establish himself.

It sounds like Cassidy's first campaign foray into Metairie wasn't that great. Apparently he was too professorial and didn't seem passionate on the issues:

State Sen. Elbert Guillory is looking at the Senate and LG races. As we know, he conveniently switched to the GOP earlier this year, perhaps in anticipation of these races.

Apparently this guy switched from being a Pub to a Dem prior to becoming an LA State Rep.  Talk about opportunism...

State Rep. Jay Morris, who's running in the LA-05 special, is claiming that Alexander and Riser were in cahoots with Jindal:

It sounds like Riser was positioning himself for this seat well before Alexander retired, though:

Guillory is an opportunist if there ever was one.

He brags about being the first black Republican in the south since Reconstruction, but its not like he was actually elected as a Republican.

Democrats landed a decent recruit in NC-06 with Laura Fjeld. Fjeld was vice president of the UNC system. Coble, who has been recovering from surgery these past few weeks, is still undecided about pursuing a 16th term.

He needs to clear Democratic field - first. And AFTER THAT - to get crazy Republican opponent - second. In short - something similar to what happened with Alexander himself in 2002. Likely? Not especially. Possible? Yes.

Maginnis says that Cassidy isn't lighting up the base and as a result Angelle's being heavily courted. Problem is that he's an executive uninterested in being a Senator, so they're left with Cassidy. Reconfirmation that Cassidy's only path is full nationalization, try and turn Landrieu into a Party Woman. Or more accurately have his allies do it for him, since he doesn't strike me as a political pugilist.

Well, if Cassidy is weak, Landrieu will be favored.

There's been a bit of a kerfuffle here in the mountains recently- the Watauga County board of Elections voted to combine the college town of town of Boone's 3 precincts into one mega-precinct with 9,340 people, by far the largest in the county. Furthermore, there putting it out in the outskirts of town, as far away from the ASU campus as possible. It made Maddowblog!

PPP offering LA as a state to poll over the weekend. Its leading, but I'd encourage everyone to go vote for it!

Yes, but Maness and his supporters could still exploit that pretty well. That would make Maness look even better to tea party groups, IMO, as he'd be running against a (relative) RINO and an ex-Democrat.
