Wow, no kidding.

I could actually see Mayo making the runoff with Riser.

The Times-Picayune has an article on the influence of dynasties in the Senate races. Candidates in LA, AR, WV, GA, WY, KY and AK are all, at least to some extent, relying on their family names.

PPP should have their LA results out this week, but the NRSC also has a poll. They have Landrieu up 45-41 on Cassidy.

Jindal's approval is 50/46 in that poll, so I'd imagine its fairly R-leaning overall.

OMG, even a republican poll shows Landrieu leading.

OMG, even a republican poll shows Landrieu leading.

They say that with respondents who have "defined opinions" of the candidates, Cassidy is up 52-41. Then again, they don't say what the size of the group is or give crosstabs.

Sounds like push questions are included. We'll see what the real story is next week, but I'd be very surprised if Landrieu wasn't leading in the high 40s.

I hope they will poll Rob Maness too. He has many facebook fans, so I guess he's not completely unknown.

Also, the Conseravtive Intelligence Briefing, an obviously Republican outfit, is actually showing Landrieu trailing at 45-47.

This nugget from their article really doesn't make sense to me though:

I don't see how she would perrform worse than a Generic D.

Their poll showed Landrieu up 47-41 on Maness and tying Guillory at 44.

Finally, Jindal is at a very plush 51/35 approval and leads Hillary 44-42 in LA.

Brees has slipped a bit Tongue

Last year, before the Republican primary, he was the most popular figure PPP has ever polled at 94/1 favorables.

There's been a bit of a kerfuffle here in the mountains recently- the Watauga County board of Elections voted to combine the college town of town of Boone's 3 precincts into one mega-precinct with 9,340 people, by far the largest in the county. Furthermore, there putting it out in the outskirts of town, as far away from the ASU campus as possible. It made Maddowblog!

We have an LA-05 poll from JMC Enterprises.

As you would expect, Riser starts out up by a decent margin. He's even pulling 20% of Democrats, which is more than Hunter or Mayo.

In NC, 9-term State Senator Ellie Kinnaird of Chapel Hill resigned today. She said her efforts would be better spent combating the Republicans' voter suppression:

WOW.

Some of the local conditions that were left out by DailyKos are kind of interesting too; The local Republican chairwoman, Anne-Marie Yates, appears to have known about the plan to combine the Boone precincts before the lone Democrat did:

What makes that even more interesting is that Yates's brother is a Republican candidate for the Boone town council. Currently, Boone's voting is too liberal to elect any Pubbie-restricting student voting would make the town a tossup.

It's downright revolting. My brother just started at ASU too. Shame on the NCGOP.

Foxx confirms she's not running for Senate. Hopefully PPP will finally take her out of their next NC poll...

Well, in her reelection to the House, she'll certainly have an easier time carrying Watauga County Tongue

Maness will be joining Sharron Angle at a rally in Washington.

The purpose of the rally is to pressure Speaker Boehner to take more action on the number one issue to Americans...Benghazi.

Not to knock Bev Perdue, but she had $1.2 million on hand for her defunct reelection bid. She recently closed her account and two-thirds of that is going back to Perdue herself. This, though, was very poor form:

The NC Independence Caucus, which is a network of about two dozen tea party groups across the state, unanimously endorsed Brannon.

I haven't the slightest idea, which is what scares me about having to chose between him, Tillis and Berger.
