I just went. I wasn't high. I asked because after two house shows in a row I ended up with a lot more weed than I normally have. Maybe some later time.

I actually met a girl in college who seriously believed that God gave us marijuana to help us better connect with Him and said that she would get high all the time to pray or meditate. What she said makes more sense than viewing it as evil.

Then why don't we view everything that way? God gave us poison ivy to better connect with Him through itching. God gave us cliffs to better ourselves by jumping off them. God gave us sex to celebrate procreation by doing it in & outside of marriage wherever, with whomever. God gave us fire to better ourselves through burning. God gave me my fists in order to punch people so they can be bettered through suffering. Etc.

I am generally against desecration so I would not advise you to go to a church, mosque, or synagogue high or inebriated.  If you do not wish to participate in religion then don't.  If you want to be a provocateur then be a professional and go to the middle east.  They are always looking for more suicide bombers.

Hell no I don't want to participate in religion. Religion kills and destroys, unlike Jesus who saves. Luckily the churches I go to have little religion. No rituals or insistence on us following man-made rules, just worship of God.
