Hans, just a question, why Nancy over Metz ?

Oh Toulouse suburbs are sprawling, that's for sure, but sad, I disagree, they manage to do far better things than in other places, and all of this in the plain of the Midi Toulousain, and the city can't be summed to this, it has a quite dynamic economy, diversified even if aeronautic remains the biggest spot, a quite animated cultural activity too, a real diversity of population, and along with Marseille, though less, it's one of the rare cities who have built a strong identity. The center of the city is a bit too much cliché to me, but well, it isn't an unpleasant one as well, and a mix of Gasgogne, Languedoc, Italy, and more classical French style sometimes, with indeed the dominating 'pink brick' which gives a kind of own style. Also, when it comes to History you have, amongst other things, the importance of the Capitouls model which has been a early democratic experiment of Ancien Régime France. So, well, I can't vote for what became the fourth city of France given all what remains now. It's also a kind of Paris for Midi-Pyrénées, though littler cities try to balance it for a few years.
