(beware: all the cities aren't on this map and some cities of this map aren't in this survivor)

Here are the most populated cities of Metropolitan France, those who had more than 50,000 inhabitants, either in the 1999 census or in the last official numbers of 2007.
This allows us to have a big list, with quite fine middle-sized cities. And to include Vannes and, what is more, Saint-Malo: good idea, Hash, isn't it ? Wink
I've excluded overseas as it would have over-represented La Réunion, without being able to judge about them, as urbanity is a different reality there.

Bondy

(I begin with ugly suburbs around Paris, with "electoral boredom" as second criteria. I won't forget the western suburbs, don't worry Wink)

(sneak peak: there is one Breton town which deserves to go really soon, actually there are 3-4 Breton towns which should go soon).

117 cities are to much fab. You didn't know all German cities in my survivor and there are only 50. On your list are cities I never heard and I'm very good in geographic.

I know, but it's also to please Antonio and Bunwah...
Sorry.
On the other hand, we'll kill many of them quickly and you'll be on a more familiar field in 2 weeks... (an eternity considering Internet rythm, but not so long for survivormaniacs Wink).

So much cities ? I barely know Paris and Chambéry and you want me to have an opinion about 118 cities ? Shocked

I think I'll have to wait for the 20 list before starting to participate...

Communist lands are out in a funny way:
Le Blanc Mesnil (Marie-George Buffet), Argenteuil (Robert Hue) and Vénissieux (André Gerin) all have or had communis bigwigs for mayor and/or deputy !

Pantin
Noisy-le-Grand
Aulnay-sous-Bois
Sartrouville
Drancy

(even if Drancy is "famous" for a camp for Jews and political opponents during Vichy regime, it's an ugly city, like all thise we've already eliminated)

Oh damn it, an attention for me with this big list, and I wasn't here. Yeah, I remember we had spoken about it a long time ago and I had spoken about 50,000+ cities, admitting that yeah, it might not fit this American forum, but the rule Fab found seems fine. Sry, was off the net.

Then, let's see this...

I won't blame Drancy now, because of its imam who became famous for fighting integrists and anti-zionists/semites.

Well, I must say I miss some knowledges for all the Parisian cities:

Levallois-Pérret (hey, we won't keep Balkanis that long, right?)
Issy-les-Moullineaux (you're annoying Santini)
Evry (you can be annoying Valls)
Villejuif (I don't like the name)
Rueil-Malmaison (I like the name still less)

Also, I would ask nothing but if there could be a map of France and of IdF with these cities, removing the eliminated ones each time, it could be very fine, but yeah, I know it would be fastidious, just saying.

Or, anyhow, I'd find a list by régions/départements more easy:

Ile-de-France:

Paris

Hauts-de-Seine (92)Sad

Boulogne-Billancourt
Nanterre
Courbevoie
Colombes
Asnières-sur-Seine
Rueil-Malmaison
Levallois-Perret
Issy-les-Moulineaux
Neuilly-sur-Seine
Antony
Clamart
Sarcelles

Seine-Saint-Denis (93)Sad

Montreuil
Saint-Denis
Aulnay-sous-Bois
Aubervilliers
Drancy
Noisy-le-Grand
Clichy
Pantin
Bondy
Epinay-sur-Seine
Sevran
Le Blanc-Mesnil

Val-de-Marne (94):

Vitry-sur-Seine

Champigny-sur-Marne
Ivry-sur-Seine
Maisons-Alfort
Fontenay-sous-Bois
Villejuif

Essonne (91):

Evry

Yvelines (78):

Versailles
Sartrouville

Val-d'Oise (95):

Argenteuil
Cergy

Seine-et-Marne (77):

Créteil
Chelles

Haute-Normandie:

Le Havre
Rouen
Evreux

Basse-Normandie:

Caen

Picardie:

Amiens
Beauvais

Nord-Pas-de-Calais:

Lille
Roubaix
Tourcoing
Villeneuve-d'Ascq
Dunkerque
Calais
Saint-Quentin

Champagne:

Reims
Troyes
Charleville-Mézières

Centre:

Tours
Saint-Maur-des-Fossés
Orléans
Bourges

Pays-de-la-Loire:

Nantes
Saint-Nazaire
Angers
Le Mans
Laval
Cholet
La Roche-sur-Yon

Bretagne:

Rennes
Brest
Quimper
Lorient
Vannes
Saint-Malo

Lorraine:

Metz
Nancy

Alsace:

Strasbourg
Mulhouse
Colmar

Franche-Comté:

Besançon
Belfort

Poitou-Charentes:

Poitiers
La Rochelle
Niort

Limousin:

Limoges
Brive-la-Gaillarde

Auvergne:

Clermont-Ferrand

Rhônes-Alpes:

Lyon
Villeurbanne
Vennissieux
Saint-Etienne
Grenoble
Valence
Chambéry
Annecy

Bourgogne:

Dijon
Chalon-sur-Saône

Aquitaine:

Bordeaux
Mérignac
Pessac
Pau

Midi-Pyrènèes:

Toulouse
Montauban

Languedoc-Roussillon:

Montpellier
Nîmes
Perpignan
Béziers
Narbonne

Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur:

Marseille
Aix-en-Provence
Avignon
Arles

Toulon
La Seyne-sur-Mer
Hyères
Fréjus

Nice
Antibes
Cannes
Grasse

Corse:

Ajaccio

Here it goes, I think forgot no one. For others I don't know, but for me I know it can help. Also, it might be too late now, but I'd have added Bastia in Corse. I'd also have added Agen (agglomeration of 76,000 people) Angoulême (agglomeration of 100,000 people, bigger than Niort), Cherbourg (agglomeration of 91,000 people), Tarbes (agglomeration of 77,000 people) and Albi which has 51,000 habitants alone. Just for those I thought about.

OK, I'll keep your list, with geographical order.
But don't expect a map from me, too much work Wink

Are the 5 cities in your post your first vote ?

Yeah, the map was only an idea, as I said it would really be fastidious.

Yeah, the 5 are my vote.
