The SE Gov Election is over, therefore,
I resign as Southeastern Magistrate

I, Cosmo Kramer, do solemnly affirm that I will faithfully execute the office of Secretary of the Treasury, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the Atlas Forum, so help me God.

Whilst i've got nothing against your religious beliefs, the oath is not official unless it is 'so help me Dave', IIRC.

Don't nitpick Hugh Smiley

Actually the Preston swear-in is odd for another reason: By Convention you swear to God and you affirm under pains and penalties of perjury. Preston seems to have affirmed to God.

Very soon.  It's why I bumped the thread.

I belive that, since I have an interim senate post, I can be sworn in immediately:

I, DanielX, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of Senator, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the Atlas Forum, so help me Dave (and God, too, assuming they are separate beings).

Hey idiots(PBrunsel and Cosmo Kramer), I recommend you read the Constitution you just swore to uphold and defend.  Particularly Article I, Section 4, Clause 7 which states "Those elected in ordinary elections to the Senate shall take office at noon Eastern Standard Time on the first Friday in the month after their election."

As far as I know, its Sunday.

I have no idea why either Cosmo Kramer or PBrunsel have sworn in since your term does not begin until this Friday. You remain Senators-Elect.

HAHAHAHA

That's almost as good as Naso swearing in early because MAS told him too....and then swearing in as Chief of Staff because KEmperor told him too.

Yeah.  I thought that it wasn't until next Friday.  But then I saw PBrunsel doing it and, well he's a former President, thought I should listen to someone with expereince.
